ASVAPE Huoshen Plus Refillable E-Cigarette Unboxing and Hands-On Review

This time, we present the Huoshen Plus device produced by ASVAPE. Previously, there was the pre-filled product Huoshen Mini, which left a strong impression with its mirror silver body. This time, we also received the mirror silver color, and it is a refillable device. Since it is a Plus model, we can expect significant improvements, so let's wait and see.

Upon opening the package, the mirror silver body is striking. The contents include one device and two pods, along with two bottles of e-liquid: one with 3mg mango and the other with 35mg lemon salt. It is recommended not to try these two liquids as they are quite average and do not match the device's specifications.

The mirror material inevitably collects fingerprints, but it feels premium, and you can't have both fish and bear's paw.

In terms of specifications, it has a 700mAh battery, a 3ml large capacity, and comes with a 1.2-ohm salt nicotine pod with a power range of 10-15W, and a 0.7-ohm freebase nicotine pod with a power range of 18-23W. The airflow is not adjustable, and both pods are designed for mouth-to-lung vaping. Although the manual states that the 0.7-ohm pod is for direct lung vaping, the airflow is only suitable for mouth-to-lung, making direct lung hits quite difficult. I am very satisfied with the performance of both pods; the vapor production and smoothness are at a comfortable level.

The side is not an airflow inlet but rather a locking mechanism. The airflow inlet and charging port are the same.

The bottom features a Type-C charging port.

Removing the bottom panel reveals the display screen and buttons.

After heavy use, the electrode slot remains dry, which is commendable.

The side of the pod indicates the resistance and power range.

No leaking issues with the pods.

In the review, I tried the 1.2-ohm pod with triple mint and peach oolong flavors. The sweetness and coolness of the triple mint are perfectly balanced; it is a naturally sweet liquid, and on the Huoshen Plus, the sweetness is just right without being overwhelming, and the coolness is at a non-irritating level. The peach oolong flavor has a well-defined peach and tea aroma, with sweetness and coolness also well-controlled. In the 0.7-ohm pod, I added 6mg strawberry tobacco and vaped at 18W. Surprisingly, the strawberry tobacco predominantly tasted like strawberry, with the tobacco flavor barely noticeable. However, in the Huoshen Plus, I could taste the tobacco, which has a Watson tobacco base flavor, with a strawberry front note and a tobacco finish, making it hard to stop without overwhelming sweetness, providing a comfortable throat hit.

Although the included e-liquids are average, the device itself is excellent and suitable for mouth-to-lung vapers. The Huoshen Plus has brought me great surprises, and I encourage interested friends to give it a try. See you next time.
