What to Do If Your RELX E-Cigarette Gets Wet? Learn These Four Steps to Save It
Forgot to take your RELX e-cigarette out of your pocket while doing laundry? Left your RELX e-cigarette in the bathroom after a shower, causing it to get damp? If you find yourself in these situations, what should you do?
Can a RELX e-cigarette that got wet still be used? Here are some methods to help you deal with a wet RELX e-cigarette, and learning these may just revive your device.
1. Unplug the power supply:
Regardless of the type of electronic product, when you discover it has gotten wet, you should quickly unplug it. If it's a keyboard, unplug the connection cable; if you're at home, turn off the main power switch before unplugging the power supply. When handling the power supply, ensure your hands are dry, and it's best to wear insulated gloves. If you don't have those, you can wear several layers of dry gloves to prevent electric shock and ensure personal safety.

2. Remove moisture from the electronic product:
After unplugging the power supply, you need to start saving the electronic product. The most important thing is to dry the moisture on the device as quickly as possible. If it's a phone or iPad, you can shake it to remove moisture. If it's a keyboard, turn it upside down and tap it a few times. If it's a washing machine, it has built-in protection, but you should still elevate it. If it's a water disaster, you can place it on the bed.

3. Do not install the tobacco stick for use:
Many users' first reaction when their RELX e-cigarette gets wet is to install a tobacco stick to see if the device still works. This is a big mistake, as it may cause a short circuit in the device that was not originally damaged. Electronic products are most afraid of water; once you discover it has gotten wet, do not turn it back on, as the internal circuit board may have already been affected. Connecting the circuit could lead to a short circuit, damaging the motherboard and potentially causing smoke. It is best to place it in a well-ventilated area to dry naturally for three days, or you can place it in the sun to dry.
4. Use drying equipment to dry the electronic product:
After removing the surface moisture, there may still be water inside the electronic product, so you need to use drying equipment to dry it. Many workplaces have aging equipment or dryers; you can place it inside while they are working. For home use, a small dryer will also work, or you can use a hairdryer on a warm setting to dry it. If the electronic product can be disassembled, it is best to take it apart and carefully blow dry the circuit board and crevices with a hairdryer.
5. Follow-up issues:
After drying the moisture inside the RELX electronic product, it is best to leave it for a few days, as it is uncertain whether there is still moisture inside. The electronic product may have been damaged when it initially got wet, or it may not have been damaged. However, even if the device is revived, the electronic components may rust or oxidize, and if the battery got wet, it will definitely swell and be damaged, so it is best to replace it with a new one!
