Appearance: 9/10

The packaging is quite innovative, featuring a top-opening design. The front contains a storage box and the vape pen, while the back holds two pods and a data cable. The body of the vape pen is made using CNC cutting technology, providing an excellent tactile feel, showcasing a metallic texture without being sharp, and the corners are rounded.

The front breathing light forms the combined letters “LM”, which lights up gradually when inhaling.

The battery indicator is located on the side of the vape pen, with three lights indicating 30-40% (one light), 40-50% (two lights), and above 50% (all lights on). Each time you take a puff, the battery indicator lights up to remind you of the remaining battery power.

The storage box can hold two pods and one vape pen with a pod installed. The old version was made of plastic, while the new version has upgraded to metal, featuring a matte skin-friendly coating that feels quite nice. Personally, I think it would be better if the design allowed the vape pen to charge inside the box.

It is worth mentioning the packaging of the pods; each pod is individually sealed, and peeling off the film reveals a QR code for a chance to win free pods. In my personal testing, the winning rate is quite high; I opened six pods and won four times, achieving a winning rate of 2/3, which is a commendable setup.

The packaging of three pods in a box is also quite luxurious, giving an impression of high quality.

Flavor reproduction and throat hit:

The Tmax Honor Black kit I received comes with two pods, namely South American Tobacco and Yunnan Tobacco, and I also received four flavors of pods: Original Mint, Lychee Ice, Green Bean Ice, and Golden Throat Ice. Each kit comes with different flavors of pods based on the color.

Notably, the e-liquid contains Shennong herbal liquid, showcasing the characteristics of “soft” and “smooth” thanks to the technology of the Five Leaves Group.

Yunnan Tobacco: Nicotine content 5% (50mg/ml) Rating: 8/10, strong throat hit. This flavor embodies a pure Chinese roasted tobacco style, with a slight tar taste added to simulate the sensation of smoking a cigarette, emphasizing the experience of roasted tobacco. Personally, I feel this flavor has a stronger head rush than South American Tobacco, appealing more to veteran smokers.

South American Tobacco: Nicotine content 5% (50mg/ml) Rating: 8.5/10, strong throat hit. It has a very light tobacco flavor without the unpleasant tar taste. Upon opening the pod, a rich nutty aroma is detected, and the inhalation experience primarily showcases the roasted nut flavor. For those who dislike tobacco flavors but want to quickly satisfy their cravings, this is a great choice. The high nicotine salt experience is excellent, providing a head rush without causing throat or lung discomfort, indicating a high purity of nicotine salt.

Original Mint: Nicotine content 4% (40mg/ml) Rating: 10/10, moderate throat hit. The balanced mint herbal aroma allows for continuous inhalation without quickly feeling empty, with a natural fragrance and no unpleasant deviations. So far, among all the mint flavors I have tested from various brands of e-cigarettes, I have encountered mint candies, mouthwash, fresheners, cooling agents, and even toothpaste sensations, which are all lacking in experience. Mint flavoring seems simple, but achieving a natural and full-bodied flavor is rare. LAMI's mint is truly delightful, and friends who vape around me generally agree. This flavor is LAMI's signature, and it is indeed impeccable, undoubtedly the leader in mint flavors, with no flaws to be found.

Lychee Ice: Nicotine content 3% (30mg/ml) Rating: 7.5/10, moderate throat hit. This lychee flavor is the most natural I have encountered in pod-based devices so far, perfectly replicating the sweetness of lychee flesh, with a hint of freshness, and is not overly cool. The only downside is that the sweetness is too low, lacking the richness and juiciness of eating fruit, making continuous inhalation feel a bit hollow, which is unfortunate.

Green Bean Ice: Nicotine content 3% (30mg/ml) Rating: 8/10, moderate throat hit. The aroma of green beans leans towards the natural flavor of green beans, removing the inherent beaniness. The overall tone is not sweet, unlike common icy desserts, and continuous inhalation does not feel greasy. The coolness is very natural, primarily serving to adjust the flavor rather than deliberately expressing a cooling sensation.

Golden Throat Ice: Nicotine content 2% (20mg/ml) Rating: 9.5/10, weak throat hit. In terms of freshness, this is the first time I have heard of a golden throat flavor being made into a pod flavor. Before receiving the materials, I was very curious. Upon opening, a rich throat lozenge flavor is detected, and the inhalation experience does not replicate the golden throat lozenge but resembles a throat lozenge that is not overly sweet, with a dominant herbal mint flavor complemented by various herbal aromas without any bitterness or oddities, combined with a slight sweetness for a great layered experience. The coolness is just right, gently refreshing the throat, and the lingering aroma in the mouth is long-lasting. Compared to a pure mint flavor, this is much richer, and the overall experience feels more like a comfortable vaporization rather than just vaping, which is novel!

Oil Leakage: 10/10

No leakage before the pod is unsealed, with flavor information marked on the bottom. The pod is equipped with four layers of anti-leak silicone sleeves and oil-absorbing cotton, and I have not encountered any leakage from the bottom so far.

Condensate: 10/10

The correct inhalation posture is very important; do not inhale while lying down, sideways, or upside down, as this is common knowledge for using small vapes. The top of the pod is equipped with oil-absorbing cotton, greatly reducing the occurrence of inhaling condensate. In my tests, I did not encounter any condensate while using two pods.

Oil Explosion: 10/10

No oil explosion phenomenon.

Burnt Core: 10/10

No issues encountered with continuous inhalation at normal frequency.

Battery Life: 8/10

Battery capacity is 400mAh, using a Type-C charging interface.

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

I first learned about the LAMI brand before the online sales ban was issued through a viral dance. Later, after trying the original mint, I became a fan of this mint flavor. I was fortunate to receive the manufacturer's materials for a formal review, which is a great honor.

The small vape from this brand gives me the impression of being “smooth,” aligning perfectly with the brand's promotion of “LAMI can smooth the throat.” The Five Leaves Group has rich experience in the tobacco field, and the two tobacco flavors this time allowed me, who is usually resistant to tobacco-flavored e-cigarettes, to enjoy them without feeling like I was making a mistake, showcasing their deep expertise. The mint flavor remains delightful, and achieving a flavor that consumers love on what seems like a simple foundation is even more commendable. This is one of the few pod-based products I would choose to purchase myself.

Finally, I hope LAMI can improve on the current shortcomings of certain flavors and look forward to tasting even more perfect and diverse flavors.
