What Should You Do If a YOOZ Cartridge Leaks?

The YOOZ cartridge uses the FEELM honeycomb ceramic atomization core, which can lead to oil leakage due to thermal expansion in hot environments. So if you encounter an oil leakage issue, there's no need to panic; first, follow the diagnostic and first aid steps below for the cartridge.

1. Diagnosis of Oil Leakage and Condensate Leakage

2. Steps to Clean Oil Leakage and Condensate Leakage

1. Remove the cartridge from the device. If you hear gurgling sounds while inhaling or if e-liquid has splashed into your mouth, it indicates that there is a certain amount of condensate in the empty chamber of the cartridge that needs to be cleaned promptly. If not cleaned in time, the condensate may flow out through the air outlet or inlet, creating a false impression of "oil leakage."

2. Use a clamp to hold the cartridge upside down and place a tissue under the air outlet for about 1-2 minutes.

3. Observe if condensate flows out onto the tissue from the air outlet, and wipe it dry with the tissue.

4. Use a cotton swab or twist a tissue into a thin strip and insert it into the inlet at the bottom.

5. Keep the cotton swab or tissue in the inlet and maintain the upside-down position for about 30 seconds. The condensate on the airway walls and bottom will adhere to the cotton swab or tissue.

6. Remove the cotton swab or tissue, reinsert the cartridge into the device, and use it again to perfectly resolve the "oil leakage" issue.

3. Daily Usage Precautions

1. For friends with refrigerators, it is recommended to refrigerate unused cartridges (the taste will be a surprise).

2. Cartridges should be stored in a cool place, out of reach of children and pets, and the device should not be charged in high-temperature environments that are uncomfortable for the human body.

3. In hot summer weather, high temperatures can cause cartridges to evaporate and leak oil. First, wipe the cartridge clean with a tissue (please refer to the above), shake it a few times with the mouthpiece facing down, and then wipe the mouthpiece clean with a tissue to basically resolve the issue.

4. If the cartridge makes gurgling sounds or you feel oil entering your mouth, these phenomena remind you that it's time to clean the condensate from the cartridge (please refer to the above).

5. If you feel that you can't finish so many cartridges within a week, try to open them less frequently. If you open one, take a few puffs and leave it, it will lead to leakage, oxidation, and flavor change.

6. When traveling by plane or high-speed train, pay attention to the liquid carrying capacity. Normally, you cannot carry too much. The YOOZ 2nd generation cartridge is 2.5ml, which is fine, but it is still recommended to store the device and cartridge separately. Especially on planes, be sure to remove the cartridge and pack it up, as pressure changes can easily cause oil leakage.

7. It is recommended to develop a habit of regular maintenance. Every day, remove the device and cartridge and wipe them with a tissue, then wipe the contact points of the cartridge and device with a tissue. This can prevent the accumulation of disconnections and oil leakage caused by condensate. Regular maintenance can effectively reduce oil leakage issues.
