- The hardness of the body has significantly improved in the 5th generation compared to the 4th. The 4th generation easily gets dents with a slight touch, while the 5th generation has reinforced the charging port at the bottom, making it much stronger. Those who dislike using a case for the 4th generation have likely encountered issues with the charging port deforming after drops.
