RELX 5th Gen vs 4th Gen: Differences, Pros and Cons

After three days of experiencing the 5th generation, let's discuss the pros and cons of the 5th and 4th generations.

  1. In terms of appearance, the 5th generation uses a new style of tobacco stick that is a rectangular shape with rounded corners, making it more comfortable, elegant, and visually appealing.
  2. The hardness of the body has significantly improved in the 5th generation compared to the 4th. The 4th generation easily gets dents with a slight touch, while the 5th generation has reinforced the charging port at the bottom, making it much stronger. Those who dislike using a case for the 4th generation have likely encountered issues with the charging port deforming after drops.
  3. The breathing holes: the 4th generation has one on each side, while the 5th generation has three—one on each side of the upper body and one on the left side at the bottom. According to the official introduction, the bottom breathing hole helps prevent oil leakage and condensation, though I have yet to experience the benefits of this feature.
  4. In terms of atomization effect, the 5th generation has a higher power than the 4th, producing more vapor with less resistance and a milder throat hit. This means the 5th generation consumes oil faster and has a slightly less satisfying effect than the 4th generation. The official power data is not available; my experience is based on three days of personal testing.
  5. Battery life is somewhat stronger in the 5th generation. The 4th generation requires charging every two days, while the 5th generation can last three days without issue. However, I must say that the extra day does not feel like a significant advantage.
  6. The difference in tobacco stick compatibility: the 5th generation's tobacco sticks have a more delicate flavor. For example, the green bean flavor in the 5th generation is better and more accurately reproduced than in the 4th.
  7. The new strawberry flavor is like an enhanced version of watermelon. Smokers who enjoy a cooler, slightly sweet flavor will likely appreciate it; it genuinely makes the room smell nice.

That's all for now; these are my personal feelings, and I don't enjoy excessive vapor.
