Is vaping more harmful than traditional cigarettes, and can it cause lung disease?
E-cigarettes have been tested and certified by authoritative organizations. According to a research report by Public Health England (PHE), the harmful components in e-cigarettes are at least 95% less harmful than traditional cigarettes.
As for whether they can cause lung disease, most reported cases of lung disease caused by e-cigarettes have occurred abroad.

Reasons for lung disease cases caused by e-cigarettes abroad:
1. Many foreign e-cigarette users prefer high vapor production, unlike closed pod systems; high vapor production allows users to add and mix e-liquids, which cannot be done in a sterile and dust-free environment, and the added components are often complex.
2. Recent studies have shown that many e-liquids causing lung disease contain THC oil (tetrahydrocannabinol). THC oil can induce euphoria, but it is expensive, so merchants dilute cannabis oil with vitamin E acetate to reduce costs.
3. The primary cause of lung damage is vitamin E acetate, which is not absorbed or metabolized by the lungs, leading to blockages or inflammation, and in severe cases, can cause lung function failure requiring emergency treatment.
