ALIEN means "extraterrestrial" in Chinese, representing mystery and high technology. The Snow Plus product team collaborated with a Japanese design team led by a former Sony designer to create the minimalist style of the Snow Plus Alien. The body has undergone over 30 processes of fine polishing, giving it a premium quality.

The direct waterfall-style e-liquid panoramic window and semi-transparent pods allow users to easily check the remaining e-liquid level. The ALIEN pods have a filling capacity of 2.0ml, an increase of 17.6% compared to the previous generation.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has infected hundreds of millions globally, the hygiene and safety of e-cigarettes that come into direct contact with the mouth and nose have become even more prominent. The ALIEN adopts a "zero contact" design, allowing users to insert and remove pods without touching the mouthpiece area, perfectly addressing this pain point. Additionally, Snow Plus has equipped this product with a charging case that features UV sterilization, with a large 1600mAh battery that can last 5-6 days on a full charge and effectively eliminate 99.9% of bacteria on the pods. The charging case will be sold separately and will be launched later this year.

“Every box of Snow Plus pods can be traced back to its manufacturing and logistics trajectory by scanning a QR code,” said Justin. “This ensures product safety from both the source and the flow.”

2. Fine! Mist Particle Size Less Than 1μm

Atomizing e-cigarettes represent a significant breakthrough in the evolution of tobacco products. They consist of an atomizer, a tube for storing e-liquid, and a battery. During operation, the atomizer vaporizes the e-liquid containing propylene glycol, glycerin, flavoring, and nicotine, simulating the smoke produced during smoking; the flavoring mimics the smoking experience while satisfying the nicotine intake needs of smokers. Thus, a good e-cigarette must not only have good e-liquid but also a high-quality atomizing core to restore the authentic flavor of the e-liquid.

“What we need to provide users is a complete experience, so we must ensure that the e-liquid and the product itself are well matched,” said Dr. Xie Baolin, head of R&D at Snow Plus. “During the overall R&D process, we proposed over twenty plans to achieve this match, optimizing the core technology through three rounds.”

“For all electronic products, whether it's an Apple phone, Tesla, or e-cigarette, users often experience a sense of anxiety,” explained Justin, a partner at Snow Plus. “You worry about running out of battery or e-liquid. ALIEN offers a new solution: the semi-transparent pods combined with the side window allow users to monitor the e-liquid level at any time; additionally, the increased filling capacity translates to longer usage with larger vapor production—compared to the third-generation pods, the e-liquid capacity has increased by 17%, and the number of puffs has increased by 30%.

ALIEN's fast charging and strong battery life alleviate "battery anxiety" for users. Its Type-C super fast charging feature allows for 75% charge in 10 minutes and a full charge in 25 minutes. This continues the philosophy of the previous flagship product Pro, which promised "charge for a quarter of an hour, use for a whole day."

In 2020, the Snow Plus R&D team began deep cooperation with Smoore International (6969.hk) and applied Smoore's FEELM black ceramic-coated atomizing core. Through the new AeroFlow 2.0 upgraded airflow design, the temperature field of the atomizing surface is more uniform, and the micropores of the heating element are denser, producing mist particles smaller than 1μm. This treatment allows the vaporized droplets to be more uniform and delicate, providing a better taste experience that quickly reaches the sensory cells in the mouth and nose. Many early testers of this product have described it as "delicate and smooth."

This new solution also shortens the heating and atomization time, allowing users to experience good flavor without waiting for a "warming up" process.

Since the advent of atomizing e-cigarettes, designers have tried every means to reduce leakage. The feeling of sweet and sticky e-liquid remaining in the mouth is very unpleasant and can even cause burns.

ALIEN has almost perfectly solved the problem of condensation and leakage: first, there are four sealing designs, located at the inner and outer interfaces of the pod and tube, around the ceramic core, and an O-ring at the base, effectively preventing any leakage. Secondly, in handling condensation, Snow Plus has a clever solution—the Pixiu 2.0 condensation recovery system effectively locks in condensation, preventing overflow. The internal support and base of the pod are designed with a winding maze-like micro-channel, with a width and depth of about 0.5mm. Once condensation forms inside the pod, it is drawn into these micro-channels through capillary action and securely locked within. This condensation recovery system can recover up to about 50mg of condensation, preventing it from leaking out of the pod. System tests have shown that this maximum capacity far exceeds the total amount of condensation that can form during the entire lifespan of use.

Before leaving the factory, Snow Plus products, including the ALIEN series, must undergo 15 testing procedures—such as airflow resistance testing, formaldehyde testing, high temperature and humidity, thermal shock, and negative pressure testing—to evaluate the performance of the pods in extreme environments, greatly controlling the leakage rate.

3. Comprehensive Coverage, More Choices

Previously, Snow Plus already had the cost-effective Snow Plus Lite and the high-end Snow Plus Pro series. The launch of the Snow Plus ALIEN series complements the existing product lines and covers different age groups, smoking experiences, economic levels, and consumer capabilities.

“By segmenting the roles of users who enter stores and acquire products, we hope to enrich Snow Plus's product matrix with new products, covering a broader consumer base,” explained Justin, a partner at Snow Plus.

Compared to the third-generation pods that satisfy taste with large vapor production, the Snow Plus ALIEN series pods offer a more delicate flavor. Compared to the Pro and Lite series, the ALIEN series has significant differences in appearance style, materials, surface treatment, overall experience, and surrounding features, providing users with many choices. With the substantial enhancement of product strength, more distributors will recognize Snow Plus's solid capabilities.

In terms of sales strategy, the ALIEN series adopts a separate sales strategy for the device and pods. The Cosmic Blue and Meteor Gray colors are priced at 268 RMB per set; the new Cloud White color is priced at 288 RMB per set. The pods are sold in boxes of two, priced at 69 RMB. Currently, there are six flavors available: five classic flavors (original tobacco, icy mint, green bean smoothie, crispy apple, and chilled watermelon) and a newly customized flavor of grapefruit passionfruit.
