RELX 5th Gen Phantom vs RELX 4th Gen Infinity: What’s the Difference at the Same Price? Which One Sh

It has been more than half a year since RELX launched the 5th Gen Phantom, yet many users still do not know how it differs from the 4th Gen. Today, we’ll compare the 4th Gen Infinity and the 5th Gen Phantom. First, from the product images, the most obviou

It has been over half a year since RELX launched the 5th Generation Phantom, and many friends are unsure about the differences between the 5th and 4th generations. Today, I will compare the differences between the 4th and 5th generations for everyone.

4th Generation Infinity

5th Generation Phantom?

First, looking at the product images, the breathing lights of the 5th and 4th generations are different at first glance.

The 4th generation has a round breathing light, while the 5th generation features four LED indicators. In terms of usage, the 4th generation's breathing light flickers at a frequency similar to breathing, while the 5th generation's breathing light is officially described as a tidal breathing light. When inhaling, the breathing light progresses from bottom to top, resembling the ebb and flow of ocean tides. Additionally, the 5th generation allows you to remove and reinsert the pod to see how many segments the breathing light flashes, with each segment representing 25% battery life, making it very convenient to check remaining battery.

Furthermore, there are differences in the external air intake holes of the two products.

In addition to the two air intake holes in the middle like the 4th generation, the 5th generation also has a separate air intake hole at the bottom, officially defined as a pressure relief hole. In terms of user experience, the 5th generation is currently the best in the RELX product line. Whether in high-temperature environments or other extreme conditions, the pressure relief hole ensures that there is almost no oil leakage, and very little condensation occurs. Based on my one-month usage, the amount of condensation is minimal, which is very nice.

Of course, an important point is that the 4th generation supports wireless charging, utilizing the two contact points at the bottom to pair with the official charging case for wireless charging. A fully charged case can recharge the device about three times, which is very convenient for frequent travelers. The 5th generation does not have this feature!

Other than that, there aren't many significant differences, and the pods of these two products are interchangeable!
