ADVANCE armed e-liquid was announced in November and only started selling around New Year's. Ah! What a long wait... Here, I will omit several words, as my complaints feel like a thousand grass mud horses galloping.
ADVANCE—The advance troops, named with a military flair, come in four flavors: No. 2 (Rose Lychee Tea), No. 5 (Banana Coconut Smoothie), No. 7 (Blueberry Tobacco), and No. 7 ICE (which adds a cooling effect). Packaging: Dressed in black, with a hint of green light, the black is solemn, mysterious, and solid, combined with a healing green, full of vitality and energy, it seems to be a team of vibrant and combat-ready (ADVANCE) advance troops. Data introduction: Bottom airflow atomizer (top-fill, resistance 0.15), side airflow atomizer (armed V1, resistance 0.14), compact atomizer (Matty, resistance 0.25). No. 2: The aroma gives a refreshing feeling, slightly sweet, with a small hint of lychee acidity on the tongue, followed by the fragrance of rose. Thanks to the use of tea polyphenol technology, the aftertaste of tea is not heavy, but rather highlights the flavors of rose and lychee. The astringency in the mouth is also due to the tea polyphenols (also known as tea tannins), reminiscent of the astringency experienced when tasting red wine, unique and stunning! The throat hit is very low.
Review by San Ye:
The sweetness is low, and there is no noticeable cooling effect. The lychee flavor is quite evident, but it is on the lighter side. Why is it light? Because if it were not, it would taste like dried lychee. The lighter lychee flavor actually brings it closer to fresh lychee. However, the initial taste still has a hint of brown sugar or rose flavor, which seems to cover some of the dried lychee taste. The sweetness can be said to be very, very low, so a slight acidity can be tasted, but overall, this flavor is still warm and those who like it will find it super enjoyable to vape.
No. 5: The aroma is a hazy coconut fruit fragrance, and the banana flavor is quite prominent when inhaled, blending well with the coconut aroma, like enjoying a dessert. The banana flavor seems to be that of baked banana chips, with a hint of baked aroma and a slight cooling effect. The flavors blend very well, and the experience is even more enjoyable when exhaled; that flavor is fuller, so take your big clouds and enjoy!
No. 7: The aroma is a refreshing blueberry scent, and you can accurately taste the fresh blueberry flavor upon inhalation. After a few puffs, the fresh fruit flavor transitions into a tobacco flavor, reminiscent of the sensation brought by raw tobacco, rather than the burning sensation of traditional cigarettes. Focus on the aftertaste; the initial setup allows you to slowly enjoy the aftertaste. It is recommended to use a compact atomizer or high resistance to savor it slowly, sitting on the sofa and enjoying the moment is a kind of artistic experience!
Review by San Ye:
The throat hit is low, sweetness is moderate to low, and coolness is moderate. The initial taste has a hint of white burley tobacco, which we refer to as raw tobacco, with some corn and leather notes in the finish. This aims to lean towards pipe tobacco and cigars, but achieving a high level of authenticity is undoubtedly challenging. However, it does not feel as dry as some pure white burley tobacco. Among the three flavors, the tobacco one has the highest sweetness, indicating that its target users are likely not seasoned smokers but rather those who enjoy both traditional and electronic cigarettes. A different tobacco flavor might work better; the raw tobacco flavor feels a bit dated.
No. 7 ICE: The aroma is similar to No. 7, but the experience is completely different. Due to the added cooling effect, the blueberry freshness is emphasized while reducing some of the tobacco flavor. I think friends who prefer fruity flavors might enjoy this one more.
Summary: No. 2 Rose Lychee Tea's cross-border combination is stunning, No. 5 Banana Coconut's blend is seamless, demonstrating that 1+1>2, and the two versions of No. 7 perfectly illustrate that the collision of fruit and tobacco can complement each other, clear and harmonious.
As a domestically produced e-liquid, achieving this level is already impressive. Aside from the packaging, which I would criticize, the minimalist style's high-end feel hasn't been achieved. The flavors are diverse, and this opinion is for reference only. I look forward to discovering more good e-liquid recommendations for everyone and hope that the domestic e-cigarette culture continues to improve.
