SMOK INFINIX refillable pod kit review
SMOK's development of large vapor devices has been continuous, with frequent new releases, and a wide range of products can be found on their official website. Recently, after sharing the ROLO BADGE, a new small device, today I will share another new product from the vapor giant SMOK, which is also a small device positioned as a smoking alternative, but smaller and more refined than the ROLO BADGE—it's the INFINIX.<\/p>
Although refillable small devices are not new, as a brand known for large vapor devices, launching a small device feels somewhat unexpected. Looking at the current market demand, more and more brands are developing small products, which reflects a trend in the broader environment. As many friends say: "Smoke less (cigarettes), if you must smoke, then smoke e-cigarettes!" Even if one cannot completely quit smoking, being able to replace it with e-cigarettes most of the time can reduce harm.
The package includes 1 main device, 2 pod shells, 1 needle-hole refill bottle, 1 USB charging cable, and 1 instruction manual. Most popular small devices on the market are of the pre-filled pod type, while SMOK's INFINIX opts for a pod shell design, giving users complete control over flavor selection. However, regarding the heating performance and oil delivery of small devices, it is not suitable to use e-liquids with high VG content.
With an anodized surface, diamond-cut design, and a combination of plastic and metal materials, the overall quality and craftsmanship of the INFINIX are convincing for a major brand. The breathing light on the device and the transparent window at the pod connection point, along with this pen-like appearance, are now commonly seen. SMOK offers three color options, especially the red and blue, which have a more youthful vibe compared to traditional business colors like PHIX, MT, VLADDIN, and NRX.
All small devices are designed with similar appearances and sizes; for example, the INFINIX has a built-in 250mAh battery, a 2ML pod capacity, and a universal USB charging interface. These features allow a small device to achieve convenient charging while maintaining a decent battery life, with 2ML of e-liquid easily satisfying over two days of daily use. If the battery and pod were larger, it would lose the balance of portability and practicality.
The universal USB interface is key to compensating for the low battery capacity. This common "Android charging cable" can be found everywhere in today's life, and it takes about 20 minutes to fully charge, which is just the time to sit down with a cup of coffee to revive the device. This interface is increasingly being adopted by small devices, demonstrating practicality over proprietary interfaces.
Unlike most mainstream small devices, the INFINIX still uses the traditional cotton coil and cotton wicking structure from the ROLO BADGE. Although many players still praise the unique flavor of ceramic cores, this traditional cotton coil can better utilize regular high-nicotine e-liquids (non-salt nicotine).
To simply differentiate between ceramic cores and traditional cores (cotton), for example, a bottle of 12MG traditional e-liquid (non-salt nicotine) used in the INFINIX with a traditional atomizer core will convey flavor more accurately than with a ceramic core. Conversely, when using salt nicotine e-liquids, the ceramic core performs better. This is based on some subjective experiences from using both types of atomizer cores in small devices; both types have their merits, and this opinion is for reference only.
The mouthpiece hole is smaller than that of the ROLO, and is basically consistent with the mouthpiece hole size of most small devices on the market. Using the same e-liquid in both INFINIX and ROLO, there is not much difference in flavor expression. For instance, using 6MG of 562 cream tobacco, the aromas of tobacco, roasted almonds, and cream can be clearly restored, while using this e-liquid in a ceramic core lacks the almond aroma.
If the rise of large vapor devices sparked the e-cigarette craze, then the surge of small devices indicates a global resurgence of another smoking cessation movement. Just like the INFINIX device shared in this article, once filled with suitable e-liquid, it can be easily taken out for use without the need for physical power activation or switch operations, providing better support for those looking to quit smoking.
Another downside to mention is that choosing e-liquids can be challenging. After all, the past year of 2017 was dominated by large vapor devices, and many new e-liquids were intentionally made lighter to meet the demand for large puffs. Therefore, for this 10-16W output low-power device, I personally believe it is better to choose from established e-liquid brands like Halo, Black Star, Little Red Riding Hood, Alien, etc., with nicotine content appropriately increased; 6mg or higher will provide a better smoking cessation effect.

From the ROLO BADGE to the INFINIX, it is evident that SMOK has fully engaged in the development of small devices that respond to market trends. From the experiences with these two new products, it is also perceptible that their quality control and product experience maintain a consistently good output. This type of device, with an almost zero operational threshold, only requires you to consider choosing a suitable flavor of e-liquid for a good experience in smoking cessation or replacement. If you are a long-time smoker needing a certain throat hit, traditional e-liquids can be selected with nicotine levels of 9-12MG, and VG controlled below 70%...
