Vandy Vape has once again teamed up with Tony B to bring us their latest creation—the Pulse Dual bottom-feed kit. The Pulse Dual device is currently the smallest dual-battery bottom-feed mod on the market, with a maximum output of 220W. The kit also includes a Pulse V2 RDA, which features an innovative base design that can accommodate both single and dual coil setups.

The review sample has a black body, while the battery cover and the RDA's drip tip are in different colors. The device has a noticeable weight, is solidly built, and there are no obvious gaps or looseness in the body. The bottom cover is also very secure; I even had to exert some effort to open it—this is a good thing, preventing accidental openings during use.
Pulse Dual Dual-Battery Bottom-Feed 220W Kit ReviewThe Pulse V2 RDA has a tall design and consists of two parts, with the top cap responsible for adjusting the airflow to the atomizer. The paintwork on the atomizer is quite impressive, giving a sturdy and durable visual impression. Interestingly, the atomizer comes with three different airflow inserts: a honeycomb airflow insert for dual coils, a slot airflow insert for dual coils, and a honeycomb airflow insert with a longer airflow path for single coils. Unfortunately, I broke the airflow insert for single coils, but I managed to conduct thorough testing before it broke, which I will mention later.

As I mentioned in my previous article, the Pulse Dual device has a beautiful design and feels very comfortable in hand—it has a certain weight but does not feel cumbersome. The device uses a black and white screen instead of a color screen, but the font on the screen is large and bright, making it easy for users to read. The refill bottle is relatively easy to remove, but due to the six magnets used on the securing cap, it still has an excellent fixing effect.

The device's battery indicator can display the remaining charge of both batteries in real-time, and the screen also shows output mode, wattage, voltage, resistance, puff count, and duration of puffs.
Pulse Dual Dual-Battery Bottom-Feed 220W Kit ReviewThe included refill bottle is the only downside of the Pulse Dual—it has a proprietary design and cannot be replaced with a universal refill bottle, with a capacity of 7ml. The refill bottle is not a perfect cylinder; the back has some protrusions, possibly to increase the storage capacity. However, I wish it could have a larger capacity, especially when using a dual-coil setup. Nevertheless, the design of the refill bottle can also be understood as a way to keep the device's size within an ideal range.

The V2 RDA features an X-shaped design for the electrode posts, similar to the Pulse X atomizer. Users can easily install coils on the V2—just pre-cut the coil leads and insert them into the post holes to secure them.

The airflow rings are located at the bottom of the atomizer, and both dual-coil airflow rings can provide ample airflow to the atomizer, with the honeycomb airflow ring providing slightly less airflow. Both airflow rings offer smooth airflow, making it hard to choose which one is better. When making heating coils, the recommended coil diameter is 3mm, and should not exceed 3.5mm; otherwise, the heating coil may melt the surrounding plastic parts.

As I mentioned, when I tried to remove the single-coil airflow ring from the atomizer, I accidentally damaged it. I hope Vandy Vape can use stainless steel or a more durable material for the airflow rings. Before the airflow ring broke, I had already conducted three days of testing, and I was pleased that the V2 atomizer performed excellently with both single and dual coils, which is hard to find in other atomizers.

Under variable wattage, the Pulse Dual device has a quick firing response and accurate power output. I also tested the temperature control performance of the device—under 24ga stainless steel wire, users can enjoy excellent dry burn protection, although the output is slightly weak. However, since most bottom-feed devices only support variable wattage, the Pulse Dual is still a good choice for those who occasionally use temperature control.

In testing the atomizer, I used nichrome alloy fused clapton coils, trying both single and dual setups. Regardless of the data, users can achieve amazing flavor performance with the V2. After installing the heating wire, the internal chamber of the atomizer significantly shrinks, enhancing the flavor. When closing a small portion of the airflow holes, the atomizer provides good flavor, but I personally prefer to use it with all airflow holes open.

When removing the drip tip, users may find some condensation, but this is not a major issue. The bottom fill port of the atomizer is located directly below the coil; although it may not be as flashy as the Pulse X, it is still more user-friendly than most bottom-feed atomizers.

The Pulse Dual may be the best dual-battery bottom-feed device currently available, featuring a compact design, outstanding performance, and durable quality. More importantly, the kit includes an excellent V2 RDA, providing an outstanding experience whether using single or dual coils. In fact, I have never had such an excellent experience using a single-coil setup on any dual-coil atomizer. However, I also hope Vandy Vape can use more durable materials for the airflow rings or sell spare airflow rings separately, as I have had bad luck damaging one airflow ring, but the other two airflow rings still receive my praise.
