It is said that a tailor who does not want to be a chef is not a good driver.

Now, cross-industry collaborations are everywhere. Recently, I heard that American football star Clowney opened an e-cigarette store with a former congressman, and now an American rock band has launched their new product, not an album, but a pen-style e-cigarette, the Grassroots Uplifter.

This band is the famous and long-lasting American funk metal band, 311. The band members include Nick Hexum, Chad Sexton, P-Nut, Tim Mahoney, and SA Martinez. They met in college in the 1980s and formed 311 in 1990. They are currently on their 2016 nationwide summer tour and will release their 12th studio album in early 2017.

According to the band's lead singer and guitarist Nick Hexum, he had the idea of making e-cigarettes a few years ago. "Three years ago, I thought if someone could really combine e-cigarettes and cannabis, it would be a breakthrough. It wouldn't stink up the room and wouldn't produce secondhand smoke. Plus, since there is no combustion process, vaping has almost no carcinogens. For me, it's a health-conscious choice."

At the last Cannabis Cup held in San Bernardino, the band launched the product. "We are all very serious about this," Hexum said, "We ensure that the chemical components of the flower are accurately preserved, and we do not use fake flavors or strip the aroma to ruin the magic of the cannabis plant. We designed many prototypes and made many modifications, constantly improving. Over the past year, we have gone through beta testing. Many people have tried and purchased our e-cigarettes."

Currently, their e-cigarette products are available in pharmacies in Colorado and California. The pre-filled and pre-charged e-cigarettes contain 100 puffs of e-liquid extracted using CO2 supercritical extraction technology.
