Do You Know That This Behavior Is Annoying?

Previously, JAI e-cigarettes published an article advocating civilized vaping (see "What’s Going On? Someone Vaped in the Police Station?!"), which mentioned that vaping recklessly in public places, especially blowing vapor in someone’s face, is very impolite and simply intolerable! So, what are some behaviors of vapers that are hard to tolerate?

1. Blowing vapor in someone’s face

This behavior is very rude and quite annoying.

2. Producing thick clouds

Unless you are a cloud chaser under specific conditions, there is no reason to blow out large amounts of thick vapor that hangs in the air, making it unbearable even for fellow smokers or vapers in the same space. If you must create thick vapor, please do so alone.

3. Littering disposable e-cigarettes and pods

Fortunately, e-cigarettes do not leave streets littered with cigarette butts, turning cities into giant ashtrays. However, some vapers still find ways to litter. Used disposable e-cigarettes and non-reusable pods belong in the trash; they still contain trace amounts of nicotine that could harm animals or children, and scattering them around can lead to fatal accidents.

4. Promoting e-cigarettes excessively

Vaping is now very popular, and most vapers are enthusiastic about new devices and flavors. However, some vapers feel the need to become evangelists, constantly pushing industry news and their favorite brands onto others. As part of the vaping community, we are familiar with e-cigarettes, and most people would prefer to discuss other topics, at least at times. A good rule of thumb is to only talk about e-cigarettes among passionate vapers, and only when others bring it up first.

5. Acting superior in front of smokers and non-vapers

Just as smoking was once considered cool, vaping is now very trendy. However, vapers are not inherently better than others. Many vapers believe they are superior to smokers, especially those who have switched to cleaner, more enjoyable e-cigarettes. However, looking down on others will not persuade anyone to pick up your favorite pastime; it will only lead to the entire vaping community being disliked.

6. Vaping indoors

For many vapers who firmly believe that e-cigarettes pose no health risks, this is a sensitive topic. However, it cannot be denied that breathing in thick, sweet vapor is not pleasant when you expect to breathe clean air. In enclosed spaces like offices, restaurants, and cinemas, vapor accumulates quickly, infringing on the rights of others. Additionally, in the U.S., vaping indoors in public spaces is generally prohibited, so vaping indoors also risks breaking the law.

7. Vaping around children

This may be the most disrespectful behavior when it comes to vaping. Vaping devices have already faced criticism from those who believe they are marketed to children, even though nicotine addiction among children is the last thing the vaping community wants. Even if you do not intend to, showing children your vaping habits sets a bad example. Therefore, when children are around, you should resist the urge and do the right thing.

Vapers who exhibit these behaviors display an ugly habit that gives non-vapers more reasons to ban vaping devices. They are too proud and do not deserve to enjoy the pleasures of vaping. Of course, most vapers are kind-hearted and enjoy this smoke-free hobby, making significant contributions to vaping culture.
