What Surprises Will the Upcoming Fourth-Generation IQOS Bring?
The launch of the fourth-generation IQOS 3 has been announced for quite some time, and IQOS has now officially set the final release date for the 15th. So as a consumer and smoker, what surprises are you hoping this update will bring?
Judging from the official product images released so far, the biggest difference between the upcoming new-generation IQOS and previous models is the change in the holder’s design. Earlier holders looked somewhat like a mobile power bank, but based on the new images, the fourth-generation IQOS holder will feature a side-opening design. In other words, compared with the previous flat shape, this update brings a more high-tech visual style.
In addition, the holder and heating device materials also appear to have changed. From the pictures, it seems to use a matte-textured shell, which looks like it should feel quite nice in the hand (I’m already looking forward to how it feels to hold and use……). This material upgrade also makes the overall IQOS device look much more premium.
More importantly, as a smoker, what I care most about is still product performance. Looking at previous generational upgrades, it’s easy to see that IQOS usually focuses on improving battery capacity and making the heating blade more durable. I imagine this time will be no different. That said, from my personal experience, the third-generation IQOS already offers enough battery capacity, because smokers don’t really need an excessively large battery. Within a reasonable range, battery capacity can actually help control smoking frequency. Although IQOS is far less harmful than traditional cigarettes, it is still a tobacco product, and as long as nicotine is involved, there will still be some level of risk, so it’s still best not to use it too much.
As for the heating blade, IQOS has already made many improvements over the last few generations, and quality issues during use are now quite rare. Still, the heating blade is one of those components where greater durability is always better. When the device is in use, residue can build up, and excessive accumulation on the heating blade may corrode it. That’s why users are always reminded to clean the blade regularly, which can help extend its service life. So on this point, I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of surprises the IQOS technical team brings this time.
As a heated tobacco device, IQOS has shown clear advantages over the years for smokers who want to move away from conventional cigarettes and reduce smoking-related harm, and many users have experienced that for themselves. That’s why expectations for its new product launch are so high. If you haven’t tried it before, it may also be worth keeping an eye on.
Even if you’re not trying to quit smoking, switching to a comparatively less harmful alternative can still offer your body a much better level of protection.
