China e-cigarette news, compiled from a report by Cigar Aficionado: Puro Indios Cigars has announced a restructuring of the company’s hierarchy and will produce and sell a new cigar, Caffy 1901, which will soon be shipped to stores.   Known for its Puro Indios Cigars and Cuba Aliados brand, Puro Indios Cigars belonged to the late Rolando Reyes Sr., who passed away in 2012. Reyes, who was born in Cuba, first produced cigars in a small factory in New Jersey, then relocated several times—first to Miami, then to the Dominican Republic, and finally to Honduras, where production took place at the Tabacalera Puro Aliados factory in Danlí. The family also grows tobacco in Honduras.   According to the press release, Reyes’ grandson Carlos Diez is responsible for international distribution and private manufacturing. (Puro Indios Cigars ships to Austria, Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Lithuania, Macau, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, and Spain.)   Diez’s brother Alex, along with marketing director Frank Santos, will be responsible for a new distribution entity for the Puro Indios Cigars and Cuba Aliados brands, called Diez & Santos Distribution Company. In addition, Diez’s mother, Oneida Reyes Diez, is now handling the day-to-day operations of Tabacalera Puro Aliados, while his father, Enrique Diez, is in charge of tobacco cultivation.   Puro Indios Cigars will also soon begin shipping Caffy 1901 to retailers. The cigar was created in partnership with the Gaby Caffy company and is owned by Caffy Cigars. The Caffy 1901 blend uses filler tobacco from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, a binder from Honduras, and a Maduro Habanos wrapper from Nicaragua. Packed in boxes of 20, Caffy 1901 will retail from US$5.99 to US$7.99 and comes in six sizes: VI 60, 6 inches by 60 ring gauge; Torobello, 6 inches by 54 ring gauge; Torpedo, 6 1/2 inches by 53 ring gauge; V60, 5 inches by 60 ring gauge; and Robusto, 5 inches by 50 ring gauge.
