How to Clean a Fancy Wire Vape Atomizer?

How do you clean a fancy wire vape atomizer? Fancy wire in vape atomizers is made by winding multiple heating wires together, giving it a larger heating surface area than ordinary wire. As a result, it generally performs better than standard wire in both
How to Clean a Fancy Wire Vape Atomizer? The fancy wire atomizer of an e-cigarette is made up of multiple heating wires, which have a larger heating area than ordinary heating wires. Therefore, both in terms of flavor and vapor, they outperform regular heating wires. However, there are several points to pay attention to when cleaning a fancy wire atomizer. Today, I will briefly explain.

After using a NI80 material three-core Clapton fancy wire for 4 days without cleaning, the state of the heating wire shows significant carbon buildup, and the outside of the heating wire has clearly turned black. When vaping, there is a noticeable burnt taste. Of course, this is to demonstrate the effect; I recommend cleaning and replacing the cotton every 1-2 days. Carbon buildup can even explode due to high temperatures and stick to the inner wall of the atomization chamber.

After removing the cotton, attach the atomizer to the main device. Similar to burning the wire, adjust the voltage to around 3.0V (the resistance I used is 0.16Ω, and the power is set to 55W).

Do not set the power too high, as high temperatures can cause carbon buildup to explode and burn your hands. It may also cause the entire heating wire to break. When heating, you can smell a strong burnt flavor, which is produced by the carbon buildup on the surface of the heating wire. Once the atomizer's heating wire glows red, you will see significant carbon chunks crusted on the surface of the heating wire. After the heating wire of the e-cigarette atomizer turns red, you can release the fire button and place the heating wire in warm water (water temperature about 40-60°C).

Note, do not let the main device come into contact with water. It is crucial to remember—do not fire! Do not fire!! Do not fire!!! Otherwise, the heating wire will short circuit and burn red in the water, breaking immediately.

Why use warm water?

Actually, placing the glowing heating wire in water is a rapid cooling process known as "quenching." If the water temperature differs too much from the heating wire's temperature, it will make the heating wire brittle, meaning it can easily break.

After repeating the "quenching" process several times, you will see many black granular carbon particles in the water. Then, we can use a brush designed for cleaning heating wires to scrub the heating wire. This brush's bristles are commonly made of stainless steel and brass, with stainless steel being harder than brass.

When cleaning, be sure to pay attention to the following two points:

1. The force must be gentle; do not use excessive force. The outer wire of the heating wire is generally quite thin, and excessive force can easily damage it.

2. When scrubbing, always go in one direction. Do not scrub back and forth repeatedly. My habit is to scrub from left to right, then from top to bottom, dividing it into two parts for cleaning. Scrubbing back and forth can disrupt the originally complex winding process, causing the gaps in the outer wire to widen.

Afterward, I like to disassemble the entire atomizer and place it in an ultrasonic cleaner to clean out all the hidden dirt. The final step is to let the atomizer air dry before reattaching it to the main device, burning the wire for adjustment, and allowing the heating wire to cool naturally to room temperature.

The fancy wire of the e-cigarette atomizer provides players with a higher quality vaping experience, but due to the materials and winding process, its price is significantly higher than that of ordinary heating wires. While using fancy wires, we must also understand how to clean and maintain them regularly. An atomizer is like a car; you need to appreciate it but also know how to maintain it. This not only extends the lifespan of the fancy wire but also allows it to perform better, providing a better experience.
