Extreme Watermelon E-liquid Review

  Today, I bring you the Extreme Watermelon e-liquid recently launched by UNIT. Speaking of UNIT, everyone should be familiar with it; last year, the peanut butter flavor e-liquid was the brand's flagship product. This newly launched watermelon flavor e-liquid has pushed it back into the spotlight. To be honest, this e-liquid has been extremely popular in the market recently, and I often see it flooding my social media feeds.

The UNIT Extreme Watermelon e-liquid comes in a 60ml pen-style bottle design, with a black PET material bottle and cap. It is well known that e-liquids can oxidize when exposed to sunlight, and the dark bottle design protects against this. The bottle label features an animated watermelon image, with the e-liquid's English name: WONDER MELON printed on the front, along with the capacity of 60ml and a nicotine content of 3mg/ml. The VG/PG ratio is 80/20. The back of the label has Chinese markings indicating the distributor and precautions.

Upon opening, a strong watermelon aroma is noticeable, accompanied by a significant cooling sensation. During the nasal sniff, the sweetness of the fruit is quite pronounced, and the sweetness is balanced by the cooling effect, making it not overly sweet. Overall, it resembles the taste of watermelon candy.

When inhaling the vapor, I felt deceived by my nose; the initial taste was a full, fresh watermelon flavor, with sweetness not as high as I sensed during the sniff but still significant. The cooling sensation is moderately high, which might be a challenge for those who do not prefer cool e-liquids; fortunately, I am a fan of cool flavors.

The throat hit is not very pronounced, and the smoothness of the vapor is excellent. When exhaling, the cooling sensation is slightly reduced compared to the inhale, and the sweetness seems to diminish, making the Extreme Watermelon a truly refreshing and sweet e-liquid.

This Extreme Watermelon has surprised me quite a bit. I initially planned to discuss its performance in different atomizers, but this e-liquid performs consistently well in both dripping and tank setups, indicating its stability!

In the first test, I used a Klara mod with a Zeus RTA, with a single coil of 0.22 resistance. First, I opened the cap and smelled it; the aroma was relatively mild, with a watermelon scent, but not purely watermelon juice, having a slight milky scent, reminiscent of the Bubblicious watermelon bubble gum I had as a child. The inhale had a cooling sensation, moderate in strength, with a light throat hit, making it comfortable for lung inhalation. For someone who isn't used to cool e-liquids, this isn't overly cool; it feels refreshing in summer without being too stimulating. The flavor during inhalation has a watermelon juice quality, and the taste is quite rich. Since watermelon flavor is inherently sweet, experiencing the juicy texture through taste is essential. Achieving the watermelon flavor in e-liquid is quite challenging, but the Extreme Watermelon exceeds expectations. The cooling sensation lingers in the mouth after exhaling, leaving a slight milky taste, and after a while, the watermelon flavor remains, with just the right amount of sweetness, making it refreshing and smooth without any throat irritation.

In the second test, I used an Aegis BF with a 5a's RDA, with the same 0.22 resistance coil. The cooling sensation during inhalation did not change much, and the flavor-focused atomizer produced warmer vapor than the Zeus. The milky flavor became more pronounced, and the watermelon aroma intensified. The sweetness control of the Extreme Watermelon is impressive; even with the amplified milky and watermelon flavors, the sweetness remains subtle. If using the Zeus feels like a watermelon ice drink, then using the 5a's is like chewing a piece of bubble gum that has lost most of its sweetness, perfectly replicating the Bubblicious watermelon bubble gum.

I have tried several watermelon-flavored e-liquids before, and they often had a strong artificial flavor. However, the Extreme Watermelon has none of that; overall, the flavor is refreshing, with a cooling sensation filling the mouth, and the watermelon taste is quite subtle. The cooling sensation is moderate and does not hit hard; at first exhaling, I detected a hint of green tea flavor, and after continuous inhalation, I realized that the main flavor profile of this e-liquid is the taste of watermelon flesh connected to the watermelon rind, which is very refreshing and light, not the taste of overripe watermelon! The vapor exhaled leaves a watermelon juice flavor in the mouth, while the vapor in the air has a bubblegum watermelon scent!

This e-liquid has a VG content of 80%, producing a large amount of vapor with very low carbon buildup. The NIT VAPE Extreme Watermelon is recommended for those who do not prefer cool e-liquids or are sensitive to sweetness; it is advisable to start with small lung inhales. For fans of cool e-liquids, this is indeed a highly restored watermelon-flavored e-liquid that is currently lacking in the market. After all, there are very few e-liquids that can achieve a high level of flavor restoration in the watermelon category, and the arrival of Extreme Watermelon is undoubtedly a small blessing.
