AVORIA German Blue Drop Green Face and Red Face E-Liquids
Today we take a look at two e-liquids from Germany’s Blue Drop AVORIA: Green Face (green apple) and Red Face (raspberry). Recently, the editor has mostly been vaping blended fruit flavors and has not tried single-flavor fruit e-liquids for quite some time
Today, let’s take a look at two e-liquids from Germany’s Blue Drop AVORIA: Green Face (green apple) and Red Face (raspberry). Recently, I’ve been vaping blended fruit e-liquids, and it’s been a while since I last tried single-flavor fruit e-liquids, so I opened the package with high expectations.
The Green Face and Red Face e-liquids come in 60 ml black pen-style bottles. The labels have a somewhat holographic effect (they reflect light a bit no matter how I photograph them, so please excuse that). The bottle indicates a nicotine strength of 3 mg/ml, but the VG/PG ratio is not marked on the bottle. According to the official source, the VG:PG ratio is 7:3.
The vivid face-mask illustrations on the front clearly indicate the flavor of each e-liquid, and the distinctive Chinese-style packaging makes them highly recognizable.
Green Face
Aroma after opening: a burst of green apple fragrance comes through with a slight cool tartness, very much like the apple soda candies many of us had as kids.
Red Face
Aroma after opening: the sweet-and-tart scent of raspberry hits you right away, just like freshly picked fruit. It also has a slight cooling sensation, with a fresh and invigorating aroma that almost feels refreshing enough to fight fatigue.
Devices used in this review:
1. Shangtang 1.5 RDA, dual 3-core Clapton coils, 3.0 mm inner diameter, 5 wraps, 80 watts
2. Mage DPRO mini RTA, single 24ga Ni80 round wire coil, 2.5 mm inner diameter, 6 wraps, 40 watts.
3. Asa RDA, dual 4-core Clapton coils, 3.0 mm inner diameter, 5 wraps, 100 watts.
Vaping experience:
Green Face: I liked how this e-liquid performed most in the Asa atomizer. On the inhale, there’s a hint of ripe red apple aroma, but the very first puff gives you the flavor of green apple accompanied by waves of coolness. The throat hit on a deep inhale is just right. After several puffs, as the flavor gradually builds up, the taste of red apple slowly emerges, with the ripeness of red apple perfectly complementing the tart freshness of green apple. Overall sweetness is on the lighter side, and the cooling level is blended just right. With a slight tart note and none of that cloying artificial flavoring taste, both the green apple and red apple are recreated with impressive accuracy. That may be why Green Face tastes better than many other mixed apple e-liquids.
Red Face: On the Shangtang RDA, vapor density is noticeably higher than on the other two atomizers, after all, it uses bottom airflow. The distinctive tartness and sweetness of raspberry are perfectly expressed in the mouth. At first, the tartness is more obvious with just a touch of sweetness, like slightly underripe fresh raspberries. As the number of puffs increases, the sweetness slowly accumulates until it reaches a perfect balance with the tartness, and that’s when the flavor experience is at its best. After that, the sweetness overtakes the tartness, and your taste buds no longer perceive the sourness as strongly as at the beginning. At that point, the flavor becomes that of ripe raspberries. The throat hit is on the lighter side, and the cooling level is perfectly tuned. Without that slight cooling note, it might become overly sweet and not quite suitable as an all-day vape.
Blue Drop’s Green Face and Red Face are among the best fruit-flavored e-liquids I’ve tried so far. They are smooth on the throat, delicate in taste, and highly accurate in flavor reproduction. Green Face in particular does an outstanding job balancing green apple and red apple, with sweetness and cooling controlled just right. One puff of Blue Drop e-liquid feels genuinely relaxing.
