Prebuilt atomizers are popular with both new and experienced users. Ultimately, that comes down to beginners wanting an easy entry point before learning DIY, while veteran users sometimes just want the convenience of a ready-made setup... In either case, demand for prebuilt atomizers continues to account for an important share of the vaping atomizer market. Today, we’re taking a look at a prebuilt atomizer with a pretty appealing design—the POLYGON (Honeycomb).
Vaping is a global trend, and it’s only natural that style-conscious users want their devices to look good. The overall packaging and appearance of the POLYGON TANK definitely meet the expectations of design-focused users. In the box, the manufacturer includes a spare coil head (0.2 ohm), a glass tube, sealing rings, and a multilingual instruction manual. In terms of appearance, it uses a traditional straight-cylinder design. The 24 mm diameter and 3.5 ml e-liquid capacity are both fairly mainstream specifications. The volcano-shaped drip tip is designed for heat insulation, and its cap-like shape helps block heat transfer between the lips and the atomizer top cap. The bottom airflow is divided into two groups of three holes, and airflow adjustment feels quite responsive in actual use.
The drip tip connects to the top cap via a standard 510 fitting, so it can be replaced with other 510 drip tips if desired, though doing so sacrifices the original heat-insulating effect. After opening the top cap, you’ll see two generously sized fill ports. Although the top cap uses a faceted design to improve grip, be sure to grip the top cap itself—not the cap-shaped drip tip—when opening it.
The biggest visual feature of the POLYGON TANK is its extensive use of angular cuts, creating a polygonal outer profile that matches the “Honeycomb” name. Overall workmanship and assembly smoothness are both very good. Even after being filled with e-liquid and left standing for 24 hours, it showed no leaking, making it an atomizer with excellent sealing performance.
The prebuilt coil has a resistance of 0.2 ohm, with an officially recommended power range of 55–75W. Looking inside the coil head, you can see that it uses dual parallel coils with relatively large inner diameters, giving it a performance style that leans toward cloud production. The cotton in this coil is well processed and does not cause spitback even after sitting unused for a long time.
With the airflow closed down to 40% and power set between 60W and 65W, the atomizer delivers reasonably clear e-liquid flavor. The draw resistance is moderate, and it does not become uncomfortably hot during chain vaping. However, overall flavor intensity is somewhat light. Even after adjusting airflow, power output, and testing across 55W to 80W in search of the sweet spot, the result was still relatively mild flavor.
The POLYGON TANK clearly shows a lot of thought in its exterior design, and the excellent build quality helps present that design to good effect. However, throughout actual use, the flavor performance was indeed on the light side, and vapor density still fell short of being truly satisfying. Perhaps these issues come down to the coil itself. If the manufacturer can optimize the coil parameters in future retail versions and offer more resistance options, the POLYGON TANK may become much more appealing. If you’re interested, it may be worth waiting to see the manufacturer’s improved retail version...
