At the end of October at IECIE Shanghai Vape Culture Week 2019, Huoqi E-cigarette launched a global limited-edition new product: the Prestige Edition ammo. Based on the original five colors, it added three premium body colors: gold, purple, and red. As a loyal user of ammo e-cigarettes, I was lucky enough to try it early, and now I’d like to share my first-hand impressions.
Because it is a limited edition, when I received the Prestige Edition ammo, I was genuinely excited. After all, it is globally limited, so it has a very special meaning.

After opening the package, my first impression of this globally limited Prestige Edition ammo was refinement and premium quality. Visually, the biggest difference from the previous version is that a ring of diamonds is inlaid at the end of the body to form the ammo logo. According to the official introduction, these are Czech crystals, giving it a somewhat luxurious vibe and an overall high-end feel.
Comparing the Prestige Edition with earlier versions, the body shape is basically the same. The vape pen is less than 9 cm long, and the body is not very thick. It feels solid and substantial in the hand. The exterior is made of titanium alloy, and through vacuum coating, the surface is very bright and smooth, giving it an elegant feel. It also does not easily attract dust or fingerprints, which is a really thoughtful design detail.
The ammo Prestige Edition comes in three body colors: gold, purple, and red. Compared with the traditional purple and red, the Prestige Edition colors are noticeably cooler and more eye-catching, and both the brightness and smoothness look better than before. The size and weight are also very well controlled: compact and convenient without losing its premium feel. The overall style leans toward high-end business aesthetics—steady and classy.
As for flavor, I originally wondered whether there would be a special Prestige Edition flavor. At present, however, ammo Prestige Edition does not launch a dedicated e-liquid flavor for this version. The kit still comes with only two tobacco sticks/pods. The ones I received were mung bean smoothie flavor and Belgian berry flavor. I strongly recommend the Belgian berry flavor! Smokers who usually like cherry and blackcurrant flavors should definitely try it. Belgian berry is a new flavor from ammo’s Europe Travel series. It has a rich taste and a realistic throat hit. Besides mung bean smoothie, it is my favorite flavor.
Putting flavor aside and returning to the Prestige Edition itself, battery life and pod capacity are basically the same. Under normal conditions, it delivers around 400 puffs, and I usually need to replace the pod after about a day and a half.
One of the biggest concerns for many longtime smokers is leakage. ammo’s quality control is well known in the e-cigarette community, and seepage or leakage is rare. From my current experience, the ammo Prestige Edition is still excellent at controlling leakage and condensation, with basically no condensation issues.
Overall, the biggest highlight of the ammo Prestige Edition is the body and exterior design. With Czech crystals, titanium alloy, and vacuum coating, it is truly a work of craftsmanship. The vaping feel and pod flavors are as stable as ever, and anyone who has tried other ammo products will not be disappointed. The ammo Prestige Edition should go on sale in November, and the price is not expensive: RMB 299 for one device body plus two pods. If you want to experience a premium e-cigarette, you can give it a try then.
