What’s New About the Fourth-Generation IQOS 3.0? A Smoker’s Experience Sharing
The fourth-generation IQOS 3.0 e-cigarette, launched in November, has been in my hands for almost half a month now. Today, I want to share what’s new about this IQOS product.
1. More Stylish Appearance.
The fourth-generation IQOS 3.0 has made many new attempts in its appearance. For instance, the outer shell of the device has been changed to a matte material, which feels great in hand. The heater has also been made with a matte finish and has undergone shape adjustments, adopting a side-opening design that makes it easier to cover the malfunction indicator light. From a usability perspective, the side-opening design is much more convenient than the built-in interface. Overall, these attempts in the appearance of IQOS 3 are successful, being both stylish and technologically appealing.
2. Performance Upgrades.
In terms of performance, there are many upgrades. From my usage experience, the charging time for the IQOS 3.0 dock has been reduced by at least half a minute, and the battery life has significantly improved. Previously, the 2.4 plus version could heat about five to six tobacco sticks on a full charge, while the fourth generation can heat up to eight or nine. However, I personally think this improvement has its pros and cons; it makes it more convenient for smokers, allowing them to heat many sticks at once, but it also increases the risk of overconsumption, so users need to be mindful of their intake, as this ultimately relies on personal responsibility.
In addition to these two points, there are also some improvements in details, such as a reduction in the number of red light flashes, the addition of a magnetic holder to prevent the heating stick from falling off the heater, and the cleaning ball has been changed to a "rod-shaped" structure, making it easier to clean.
3. The Flavor is the Same, So Smokers Used to the Old Generation Can Buy with Confidence.
The IQOS 3.0 retains and inherits the characteristics of its predecessors in terms of flavor and smoking experience, with the smoked flavor remaining consistent. For smokers who have been using IQOS, if the new version had a different flavor, it might take some getting used to, which was a concern of mine before purchasing. Fortunately, the flavor and smoking experience are the same as before, leaning towards a lighter taste with a hint of roasted grain, essentially the flavor of the tobacco itself, not as mixed as traditional cigarettes. It provides a clean smoking experience with a strong heat sensation and a robust inhale, making it quite satisfying.
In summary, whether in terms of upgrades or retained features, the fourth-generation IQOS 3.0 is designed with the needs of smokers in mind, providing a better user experience. I am very satisfied with this purchase, and friends who enjoy IQOS e-cigarettes might consider this model.
