Upon receiving the VOOPOO zip pod, I was impressed by its minimalist packaging. Although the zip pod device and pods are packaged separately, each package is very compact, about the size of a power bank when combined. The independent packaging for both items features renderings of the device and pods, which is simple, intuitive, and straightforward.

Currently, the most common device style on the market is the flat, elongated shape, but the zip pod does not follow this trend, which is a testament to its product confidence. The sharp lines, sleek black body, and compact design create a straightforward beauty, reminiscent of a silver bullet, striking a chord with me. With a thickness of only 7mm and a weight of 14g, it is even smaller than typical disposable e-cigarettes; while other e-cigarettes might be described as "held" in hand, I prefer to say the zip pod is "pinched".

Not only that, the anodized aluminum finish gives it a matte black color, complemented by a blue cross LED light and the laser-etched VOOPOO logo at the bottom, providing a sense of high quality! The bottom of the device features a Micro USB charging port, which also serves as an airflow inlet, with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. Overall, it is robust yet refined, slim yet stylish, leaving me with a great first impression.
 
It is worth mentioning that the zip pod not only has a handsome appearance but also features an intelligent control chip. This is a flagship GENE.Pod chip specifically developed by VOOPOO for pod-based and disposable products. Under the constant voltage regulation of the main control chip, the first puff of the zip pod delivers a strong throat hit while also providing a smooth and delicate flavor, showcasing a level of smoothness that is hard to achieve with similar products!

Pods

Upon opening the pod packaging, two different flavored pods are individually placed in aluminum foil capsules, namely Rich Tobacco (5%) and Polar Mint (3.5%). Upon closer inspection, each pod is marked with different colors indicating its corresponding flavor.
 
Changing the pods on the zip pod is also extremely simple, utilizing a snap-on design that provides just the right amount of resistance, making it easy to insert and remove without effort. Once the pod is successfully connected to the device, the blue cross LED will flash as a prompt, and the zip pod pods are designed to be interchangeable without a specific orientation, making it very user-friendly. Many e-cigarettes do not achieve this, and I have mentioned in previous reviews that product design should consider the user as a fool, eliminating the need for them to think; kudos to the design of the zip pod.

The tobacco flavor is very similar to that of real cigarettes, and it does not have a sweet aftertaste; instead, I seem to taste a hint of barley flavor, reminiscent of drinking barley tea while smoking a cigarette.

POLAR MINT| Polar Mint
 
The mint pod is very smooth, with a slightly lower cooling sensation, akin to that of green mint gum, which naturally makes it more acceptable to a wider range of users. Additionally, it seems to carry a hint of fruitiness and sweetness, which balances the coolness of the mint pod, adding layers to the aftertaste.
 
Overall, the concept and craftsmanship of the zip pod are commendable. In a market flooded with pod systems, the zip pod not only meets the standards of mainstream pod systems but even surpasses them in various aspects, especially with its constant voltage output "core" technology, which provides exceptional stability and performance in flavor delivery. However, the downside is that currently, the zip pod only offers two flavors; I look forward to VOOPOO introducing more new flavors to provide more options for different users.
