So Cool! UFC Fighter Nate Diaz Vapes at a Press Conference (Photos)

Yesterday, after the UFC announced the result of UFC 202, Nate Diaz attended the post-fight media session. While answering reporters’ questions, Diaz openly used a vaping device.

Moments later, a reporter asked Diaz, “What exactly were you just using?”

“CBD. It helps with the healing process and inflammation, so you want to use it before and after fights or training,” Diaz replied.

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is one of more than 60 compounds found in cannabis. Among these compounds, CBD and THC generally receive the most attention. Unlike THC, CBD does not produce a psychoactive high, but it appears to offer significant health benefits for athletes.

Because the likelihood of being penalized for using any banned substance through vaping is very low, Diaz is unlikely to get into trouble for using CBD after the fight.
