According to reports from the Heat-not-Burn News Network, the Dutch company E-Njoint BV has developed the world's first electronic cannabis cigarette, E-Njoint, claiming that this product contains no harmful components and is 100% legal. This claim has been met with skepticism, sparking controversy, and has been pointed out by professionals that this product may pose risks to young people.
It is understood that this electronic cigarette consists of four sections, with a chrome plate at the end and a small light featuring a green cannabis leaf symbol. Each time a user takes a puff, the cannabis leaf light will illuminate. E-Njoint BV states that users can fill the pipe with cannabis liquid or dry cannabis, allowing the electronic cigarette to be reused. The company also claims that this electronic cannabis cigarette contains no dangerous tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), tobacco, or nicotine, making it harmless and 100% legal.
E-Njoint BV states on its website that using electronic cigarettes is healthy and refers to E-Njoint as the "latest trend in the market." Currently, they are in talks with Tikun Olam, a company specializing in medical cannabis research, to launch related health products.
E-Njoint BV CEO Menno Contant stated: "The Netherlands is known worldwide for its tolerance and freedom regarding soft drugs, and the introduction of this new product is proof of that. As long as you do not disturb others and adhere to legal boundaries, everything is fine. Everyone should feel good because we are not committing a crime."
However, many scientists, politicians, and health experts are concerned that battery-powered electronic cigarettes may undermine smoking bans and entice young people to smoke, jeopardizing their health.
