Do E-cigarettes Really Have Harms?

Today we’re talking about everyday e-cigarette issues. For those who use e-cigarettes, I believe the most common questions are: Do e-cigarettes really work? Can e-cigarettes help quit smoking? Or are e-cigarettes harmful? I’m sure you’ve heard these quest

Today, let's talk about the everyday matters of e-cigarettes. I believe that those who vape have often been asked, 'Do e-cigarettes really work?' 'Can e-cigarettes help you quit smoking?' or 'Are e-cigarettes harmful?' I think many of you have heard these questions so often that you could develop calluses. Everyone has different opinions on e-cigarettes, but there are some commonalities.

Many older generations still hold prejudices against e-cigarettes, after all, it’s hard for anyone who has smoked for decades to suddenly accept something new. However, I want to say that e-cigarettes are a new phenomenon, and the reason they are not accepted by most people is due to the large vapor clouds, but the vapor itself is not the problem. We enjoy e-cigarettes because we like the feeling and the act of vaping. This does not mean that e-cigarettes are toxic or wrong. Many people who have vaped for a while choose to return to smoking, claiming that e-cigarettes are harmful to their bodies, lungs, or airways. I want to ask, do you really understand e-cigarettes? Sometimes I feel angry hearing these comments, but more often I feel they are ignorant. Many diseases are not caused by e-cigarettes but are the result of your own bad habits over time. Yet you blame e-cigarettes for that, and I can only say, sorry, we won't take the blame!

Honestly, I smoke too, and I won’t deny it. Sometimes many customers ask me, 'Why do you smoke if you vape? Isn’t it useless?' I find it strange, is vaping solely for the purpose of quitting smoking? Perhaps for some reason, I am resistant to these comments. E-cigarettes are just e-cigarettes, not a tool with any specific purpose. It may not be mainstream culture, but that doesn’t mean it should be blamed for many issues. In clinical medicine, its pros and cons are still unknown, but many documentaries have provided us with data, including that in some countries, e-cigarettes can even be classified as medical products, etc. I won’t say it’s perfect or that it guarantees to clear your lungs or help you quit smoking, and I never write 'quit smoking' or 'smoking cessation' on my blackboard. However, many businesses mislead consumers by labeling products like IQOS as e-cigarettes. Is that really okay?
Are e-cigarettes really harmful?

Perhaps what I’m saying is a bit harsh and unpleasant. But this is the truth; the root cause is that we haven’t properly promoted and informed everyone about what e-cigarettes are. This has confused the public's understanding of e-cigarettes, leading more people to think that IQOS is an e-cigarette. What I’m saying today may offend many, but I still want to express these thoughts. Sell your products, but don’t mislead consumers. The recognition of e-cigarettes today is inseparable from everyone's efforts, but don’t let these pseudo-e-cigarettes ruin the real e-cigarettes. After all, we all love it, don’t we?
