The techniques and practice methods for exhaling a single vape ring with an e-cigarette. In early April 2019, I began my journey with e-cigarettes. Initially, I started with a mod, but later realized I needed something to heat the wire, so I switched to a box mod and various other devices. I did not go through the pre-made products but jumped straight into DIY (however, I do not recommend this; it’s better to take it slow and understand the basics of e-cigarettes before choosing to DIY, haha).
Exhaling a single vape ring-----Let me share my experience with vape rings:
I started learning about vape rings by browsing vape forums. I spent a whole day researching and memorizing the key points mentioned in various articles and videos. The next day, I began my practice.
From the second day until the eighth day, my vape rings began to take shape and stabilize, but I was told by experts that they lacked strength, which was quite frustrating for me. At that time, when I tried to increase the strength, the rings would disperse, and when I used less force, they would float away. However, I really enjoy the culture of e-cigarettes, and my personality is such that I like to research things alone, so I started watching videos again, carefully studying the coughing sounds and mouth shapes in the tutorials. I realized that the mouth shape is indeed a very important factor in exhaling good vape rings, so to this day, I still tell new friends in QQ groups that mouth shape is crucial.
Adjust the mouth shape to a size that feels comfortable for you, then cough. The cough should be a short, forceful burst, a clever use of power rather than blind force. With each ring, you should summarize and recall the feeling of each ring in your mind, rather than practicing blindly. The difference in growth speed between finding the right feeling and practicing blindly is significant, and this is one of the key points.
Exhaling a single vape ring-----Key analysis and practice methods for exhaling a single vape ring (purely my personal summary!):
Exhaling a single vape ring-----1. Mouth shape (I believe this is the most important point): My mouth shape only covers my teeth, not wraps around them (as shown below).
I hope this can be understood. It’s not wrapping but merely covering the teeth. This mouth shape does not require as much force as wrapping the teeth; just a bit of pressure to cover is enough. I believe this is achievable, and comparing the two methods will show a significant difference (provided you can exhale rings). In practice, the size should be about that of a drink bottle opening or slightly larger; starting in front of a mirror is best. Exhaling rings should be done from the bottom up, not always in one direction.
When you find that your mouth is in the right shape, stop looking in the mirror and prepare to cough. This is my personal suggestion for mouth shape; if it works for you, great, if not, you can explore your own preferred shape, as it can vary from person to person.
Exhaling a single vape ring-----2. Coughing is a short, forceful action. Initially, you don’t need to exert too much force; start with gentle coughs to find the feeling of a light cough in your throat, then gradually increase the force.
When you discover what force combined with what mouth shape produces what kind of vape ring, you are already halfway to success. This is the feeling I found during my initial practice.
Secondly, the cough should be a quick, forceful burst; it must be short and not prolonged. If prolonged, the trailing vapor will be excessive, so the cough should be a brief, powerful action. When you find that the size of the mouth shape combined with the force produces a ring that moves forward, your basic skills are essentially in place (keep your tongue still and flat).
(First, exhale a puff of vapor: this is because after inhaling, vapor remains in the throat, and exhaling some helps fill the throat and mouth with vapor for better ring exhalation.
Secondly, practice standing; sitting or adopting strange postures can disrupt airflow. Sitting can cause internal heat to rise and disperse the airflow, so practice should be done while standing.
Lastly, don’t overdo it; remember to take breaks.)
The two basic points, techniques, and key points I mentioned are all important. Don’t just read without practicing; all achievements come from practice—practice is the only road to success, and there are no shortcuts! These are the techniques and practical methods for exhaling a single vape ring that you should know, and I hope they inspire you.
