Which is more harmful, vaping devices or cigarettes? Are vaping devices really helpful for quitting

I have been smoking for 13 years and have been using vaping devices for almost two years. There is a lot of information online about the chemicals, but I want to say that the harm from vaping devices is indeed lower than that of traditional cigarettes. As for how much lower, there doesn't seem to be specific data yet. From my personal experience, when I used to smoke a lot of cigarettes, I would feel short of breath and have a tight chest. Since I started using vaping devices, I haven't experienced that feeling at all. So now, I have basically quit smoking cigarettes, except for special situations at work where I must smoke. Other than that, I can say I completely avoid smoking!

I recommend that friends who genuinely want to quit smoking should consider buying a more expensive vaping device. I bought one that cost over 1000 yuan, and with the atomizer, the total came to about 2000 yuan. I believe that if you want to quit smoking, buying a cheap device for a few hundred yuan often leads to people giving up early and just throwing it away. Because honestly, no one cares about a few hundred yuan; it's just the price of a few packs of cigarettes, so they just toss it. If you buy a more expensive one, at least you won't want to throw it away, and you'll stick with it! If you really stick with it, you'll experience the difference!

The issue is actually quite obvious; everyone knows the dangers of traditional cigarettes, but many people are not familiar with vaping devices, which leads to misunderstandings! First, let's talk about the components of vaping liquid: VG, commonly known as glycerin, PG, nicotine, distilled water, and food-grade flavoring. Regular products use food-grade materials, which are relatively healthy for the human body. Nicotine is toxic, but the human body metabolizes it quickly!

One more point to emphasize: vaping is a substitute for smoking, it does not clear the lungs, nor does it allow you to completely quit smoking; it is merely an aid to quit traditional cigarettes.

For the sake of health, I personally believe that one should first use vaping devices as a substitute for smoking and then gradually reduce the nicotine concentration to quit smoking.

I have been into vaping for 4 years. I believe that the harm of traditional cigarettes is significant. Vaping devices can indeed replace traditional cigarettes. However, vaping devices are merely a tool for substitution, not a tool for quitting. The exaggerated advertisements from unscrupulous merchants in China have misled many. To this day, there is still no complete scientific evidence proving the harm of correctly using vaping devices to the human body. What I have seen regarding the harm of vaping devices is the result of improper use (like burning cotton). I am not saying that vaping devices are without harm; I am just saying that they are less harmful than traditional cigarettes. This is a fact recognized by many early adopters.

The harm of vaping devices is lower compared to traditional cigarettes, but I can't say by how much. However, they are much cheaper than smoking traditional cigarettes (excluding pre-made atomizers). For example, a 60ml bottle of vaping liquid can last me half a month and costs 90 yuan (cheaper domestic liquids are even less; I use American Red Ice Grapefruit). I change the heating wire and cotton about four times in half a month, which probably costs less than 1 yuan. When I used to smoke traditional cigarettes (about 15 yuan per pack), I would go through about 25 packs in a month. So, in about 3 to 4 months, I could save enough to cover the cost of the device and atomizer.

After 10 years of smoking, I have quit traditional cigarettes after switching to vaping devices. As for the harm to the body, there is currently no authoritative certification, so there is no conclusion yet.

However, the benefits of vaping devices are obvious: no ash, no burning, no secondhand smoke harm, and I can vape fruity flavors at home without my wife complaining. The irritation to the body is lower compared to traditional cigarettes, and the dependency is relatively lower as well.

If conditions allow, you can try vaping devices. It's important to choose the right equipment, atomizer, and liquid. I suggest not to be cheap; the usage cost is actually comparable to or even lower than that of traditional cigarettes.

If you're interested, feel free to chat with me; I can offer some advice.

The components of vaping liquid are vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), nicotine, and food-grade flavoring. Of course, there may also be other additives like cooling agents and throat soothers, but they are all food-grade, so the harm is not completely harmless. The premise is that the vaping liquid comes from a legitimate manufacturer, which is definitely less harmful than traditional cigarettes. As for vaping devices, they are generally similar, consisting of a main unit and an atomizer. The difference lies in the power and the construction of the atomizer, based on my experience as a vaping industry professional and a seasoned user. Quitting smoking still depends on one's willpower, but vaping devices have a good effect on substituting and controlling smoking. By using vaping devices, one can significantly reduce the intake of traditional cigarettes, and long-term use of vaping devices will noticeably reduce phlegm and coughing.

Be cautious when entering this world; persistence is key.

    Meeting is fate.

The harm of direct smoking is definitely greater than that of vaping. However, it seems that vaping has no harm at all. Although I am not very clear about vaping, I know that some of my classmates bought vaping devices to quit smoking, and they all said that after a week, I would see a new version of them. In the end, I laughed at them countless times; they said they ended up treating the vaping devices as collectibles.
