Xiaomi Denies Again: It Will Not Make E-Cigarettes

On the afternoon of May 13, a Weibo account certified as "Xiaomi Company Spokesperson" released a statement denying rumors, stating, "We reiterate that Xiaomi will not make e-cigarettes."

   
According to reports, there have been rumors that Xiaomi's new e-cigarette product launch event will be held on May 21, and even similar invitation letters have leaked.
 
In response to this matter, Xiaomi once again denied, stating, "We reiterate that Xiaomi will not make e-cigarettes, and we reserve the right to pursue legal responsibility against organizations, institutions, and individuals suspected of misusing the Xiaomi brand and misleading consumers."
 
According to reporters, this is not the first time Xiaomi has come out to deny rumors about "entering the e-cigarette business."
 
Global Times cited a report from the China Business News in February this year, which stated that a company under Xiaomi's ecological chain would enter the e-cigarette field. In response, Xiaomi officially stated, "Xiaomi will not make e-cigarettes; this is purely a rumor."
