On September 6, news reports indicated that following the death of an adult in Illinois due to a lung disease caused by vaping, another related death case has emerged in Oregon.

The Oregon Health Authority believes that this adult's death may be related to vaping, as the individual exhibited symptoms such as coughing, difficulty breathing, and chest pain after using e-cigarettes, with the condition progressing rapidly.

Officials from the CDC stated that e-cigarettes contain various harmful substances, including carcinogenic particles and heavy metals. Long-term use of e-cigarettes can significantly impact one's health.

As of now, there have been 330 reported cases of mysterious lung diseases related to vaping across the United States, and experts are currently investigating the specific connections. On September 4, Michigan banned the sale of flavored e-cigarettes.

It is understood that e-cigarettes are electronic products that mimic traditional cigarettes, having the same appearance, smoke, taste, and feel. They work by vaporizing substances like nicotine into vapor for users to inhale.

The World Health Organization has conducted research on e-cigarettes and reached a clear conclusion: e-cigarettes are harmful to public health and are not a means to quit smoking. There must be stricter regulations to prevent harm to youth and non-smokers.
