After the Notice was issued, how well has it been implemented offline? Recently, a reporter from Luoyang Evening News conducted an on-the-ground survey of local brick-and-mortar vape shops in Luoyang.

The reporter said that during visits to e-cigarette counters in several shopping malls across the city, signs reading “Strictly prohibited from recommending or selling e-cigarettes to minors” were placed in prominent positions. Some counters had also removed promotional e-cigarette advertisements with potentially inducive messaging.

At an e-cigarette counter in a mall in the new district, young customers were required to show ID before purchasing e-cigarettes. Anyone under 18 years old was not allowed to buy them.

Here, we want to give a thumbs-up to the standardized operations of local vape shops in Luoyang!

Strengthening self-discipline is vital to the development of the e-cigarette industry. As people in the vaping industry, we must firmly refuse to sell e-cigarettes to primary school students and anyone under the age of 18. We must not do something so irresponsible. By improving professional standards and service quality, we can build a positive image for the vaping industry and enhance public trust.
