According to news on September 17, Luo Yonghao, who has long publicly supported Xiaye vaping devices, has just posted a statement on Weibo saying that he has no financial interest in or cooperative relationship of any kind with FLOW vaping devices, and emphasizing that he is one of the main partners of Xiaye vaping devices.
The full Weibo post is as follows:
Because there have been too many misunderstandings, I hereby solemnly declare: FLOW vaping devices have no financial connection with me and no form of cooperative relationship whatsoever. Back when I helped FLOW launch its product, it was only because several of my former colleagues were on its founding team. I am one of the main partners in Xiaye Technology, the startup founded by Mr. Peng Jinzhou. Other than that, I have no relationship with any other vaping-related companies.
In fact, people in the industry already know that since Luo stepped back from Smartisan and entered the vaping industry, he has not had much involvement with Flow Fuloo, founded by Zhu Xiaomu, employee No. 001 at Smartisan. On the contrary, in the early days of Xiaye vaping devices, founded by former Smartisan Technology president Peng Jinzhou, Luo repeatedly showed up to support the latter without hesitation. Just last month, insiders at Xiaye revealed that Luo Yonghao was personally involved on set during the filming of Xiaye’s endorsement campaign featuring Edison Chen.
Previously, Blue Hole also conducted an exclusive interview with Xiaye CEO Peng Jinzhou, asking about the most accurate way to describe the relationship between Xiaye and Luo. Below is Peng Jinzhou’s original response:
Xiaye is currently divided into two main parts: Shenzhen R&D and Beijing channels. After all, Shenzhen is closer to the supply chain industry. As for our team composition, many colleagues have worked with me for many years, including people from Huawei, and we have also recruited some talent from across the industry.
As for the relationship between us that the outside world is concerned about, I can also clarify it formally here. First of all, I am the lead person on the Xiaye project. When I first started the business, Luo gave me tremendous help. At the very beginning, I discussed with him what I wanted to do. In the earliest stages of industrial design, and later in how to do marketing, to be frank, including the matter of Edison Chen, our team discussed together signing Edison Chen, and Luo still helped us a great deal in terms of how to communicate with him.
So the relationship among Luo, FLOW, and Xiaye is well known within the industry and is nothing new. However, Blue Hole is still unclear about the reason why he specifically posted on Weibo this time to solemnly emphasize his connection with FLOW.
