According to foreign media reports, Juul is planning to pitch a locked version of its vaping device to federal officials to prevent users under 21 from using it. The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing informed sources, that Juul is preparing to submit a document to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) outlining the company's commitment to curbing youth drug use and research related to its products and marketing information. It is reported that the document will include a proposal for a new age-restricted locking device. The company may submit the new device to the FDA in May or as part of a submission later in 2020.
