Xinji, Hebei Launches Special E-cigarette Crackdown

Recently, the Municipal Tobacco Monopoly Bureau carried out a special campaign to clean up some e-cigarette sales counters in the urban area of our city, cracking down on illegal acts such as selling e-cigarettes to minors and selling e-cigarettes online.
Recently, the Municipal Tobacco Monopoly Bureau conducted a special inspection of several e-cigarette sales counters in the city, cracking down on illegal activities such as selling e-cigarettes to minors and selling e-cigarettes online.

During the inspection, law enforcement officers assisted each counter in prominently displaying notices stating, "No sales of e-cigarettes to minors," and required operators not to promote or sell e-cigarettes through online e-commerce platforms, strictly prohibiting sales to minors. Any illegal activities discovered will be dealt with according to the law.

On November 1, 2019, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration jointly issued a notice stating that measures would be taken to prevent minors from purchasing and using e-cigarettes online, further protecting minors from the harm of e-cigarettes.

The specific implementation includes three points: first, cleaning up online e-cigarette sales platforms; second, banning the online sale of e-cigarette products; and third, prohibiting online advertising for e-cigarettes. In summary, the goal is to completely ban the online sale of e-cigarettes.
