IECIE Vape Expo 'Shanghai Vapor Culture Week' to Be Held in December

After the rebound in 2017, this year is set to become the first year of rapid growth for the vaping industry. Under new opportunities and a changing industry environment, IECIE Shanghai Vapor Culture Week, organized by UBM Creative, will be held from Dece

After a recovery in 2017, this year is expected to be the "first year" of rapid development for the e-cigarette industry. In this new opportunity and industry environment, from December 7-9, 2018, the IECIE Shanghai Vapor Culture Week (hereinafter referred to as the "IECIE Vape Expo"), hosted by Bowe Creative, will create a "vapor feast" at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, Hall N1N2. The aim is to accelerate the online and offline channels of e-cigarette companies, complete the development of new business channels, and promote the upgrading and development of e-cigarette companies for mutual benefit and win-win results.

Focusing on brand promotion to accelerate industry resource integration

The IECIE Vape Expo has been evaluated by the industry as one of the most influential e-cigarette exhibitions. It has always adhered to the exhibition principle of "internationalization and professionalism," creating the most professional one-stop exhibition platform for B-end and C-end exhibitors, thereby promoting industry exchanges and development in the global e-cigarette field and the domestic e-cigarette market.

This is also the first time the IECIE Vape Expo has landed in Shanghai. The exhibition area of this "Shanghai Vapor Culture Week" will reach 23,000 square meters, and it is expected that over 1,000 brands from 25 countries and regions and 30,000 professional visitors will participate. Numerous domestic and international e-cigarette brands and major trend culture brands will join hands to bring a fashionable and novel "vapor party" to e-cigarette enthusiasts in Shanghai, creating a trend feast for vapor culture lovers.

"As an international metropolis and the economic center of the Yangtze River Delta, Shanghai not only drives the economic and trade development of this region but also leads the new process of e-cigarettes in the 'Internet + new retail' era," said the organizer Bowe Creative. "By choosing to hold the exhibition in Shanghai, we hope to leverage this vast market to open a new chapter for the e-cigarette industry in Shanghai's 'vapor trend' and 'vapor culture.'"

Compared to the previous event in Shenzhen, this vapor culture week will focus more on promoting exhibitors' brands. The presence of numerous physical stores, professional buyers, consumers, and media in the Yangtze River Delta region will work together to create an e-cigarette consumer exhibition that triggers a new retail storm.

"With over 30,000 professional e-cigarette buyers and the 'post-90s' consumer group pursuing e-cigarette culture gathering together, this will become a growth engine for the core business of many exhibitors and accelerate the integration of new retail industry resources," said Mr. Wang, project director of IECIE.

Focusing on the retail aspect to boost industry scale

"As a high-experience product, e-cigarettes can only be accepted by more groups through the combination of online and offline experiences, and the arrival of new retail means that the e-cigarette market is about to achieve a comprehensive explosion," Mr. Wang explained. Currently, the sales channels for e-cigarettes in China are primarily through e-commerce platforms online, while offline, many dedicated e-cigarette experience centers and specialty stores have emerged, attracting consumer attention. Taking Shanghai as an example, in the past two years, the number of physical e-cigarette stores in the city has rapidly increased from 9 in 2015 to nearly 100 today, truly flourishing.

At the same time, online transactions in the Shanghai area are also noteworthy, having become the third-largest e-cigarette consumption area after Beijing and Guangdong, and will hold a significant position in the future development of the e-cigarette industry. As a major B2C consumer market, this exhibition will also focus on the retail aspect, directly selling products and providing services to consumers.

Currently, the e-cigarette industry shows good prospects in developed countries and regions. For example, in the United States, the market sales increased from less than $100 million between 2008 and 2015 to $3.5 billion, with an annual compound growth rate exceeding 100%, and the development trend has been even more rapid in recent years. In China, as disposable income increases, the younger generation is increasingly pursuing high-quality and stylish consumption, and e-cigarettes have also become a new favorite in the trendy market. Their strong partnership with trendy brand culture is expected to become a future development trend in the industry.

"The market environment for e-cigarettes in our country is gradually improving. With the improvement of new technologies, more cost-effective and high-quality products will emerge in the e-cigarette market, thereby driving rapid growth in the domestic e-cigarette market," Mr. Wang stated.

In this industry opportunity, the IECIE Vape Expo, as a benchmark industry exhibition, will provide a high-quality consumption experience for many "players" while creating a good product display and marketing platform for exhibitors, showcasing the charm and market prospects of "vapor culture" in a comprehensive and multi-dimensional manner.

The audience pre-registration system for the IECIE Shanghai Vapor Culture Week will open this month, with registration channels including the IECIE Vape Expo official website, the IECIE Vape Expo WeChat public account, and various other channels.
