According to Zhuzhou News Network, on December 10, the Market Supervision Administration of Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, imposed an administrative penalty of 40,000 yuan on a Shenzhen company for false advertising of its e-cigarette products.
It is reported that this is the first fine in Hunan related to e-cigarette products.
Since July of this year, the Market Supervision Administration of Zhuzhou City has conducted joint inspections of the tobacco product market with the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau. The inspection team found that the e-cigarette advertisements issued by the Shenzhen company were suspected of false advertising.
The Market Supervision Administration's Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team subsequently initiated an investigation into the company. After detailed investigation and evidence collection, the company’s false advertising behavior was confirmed, and corresponding administrative penalties were imposed on the parties involved.
