Magic Potion E-Liquid Review: Red Devil and Blue Devil Tested
Magic Potion e-liquid review: Red Devil and Blue Devil share the same black bottle design, with the main difference shown in label color and flavor profile.
Review testing of Magic Potion e-liquid: Red Devil and Blue Devil
Today I’m bringing you a hands-on review of two test flavors—Magic Potion Red Devil and Blue Devil. The two look basically the same on the outside: a black plastic tube, a black cap, and a black-label design. My first impression was that it had a kind of Transformers-style metallic feel.
The visual difference between the two bottles is the color of the side label. Blue Devil actually has a slightly purplish tone, while Red Devil is more of a wine red shade.
This below is the manufacturer’s Chinese label, though it’s attached to the outside of the plastic seal.
This is the color of the Blue Devil e-liquid—very fitting for the name.
I’m still using the Smok lighter-box mod and the Yuri atomizer. This time the build is Lightning 22awg wire, 4.5 wraps, 3.0mm inner diameter, single coil, with the resistance shown in the image.
Special note: both e-liquids were tested using the exact same setup. I only changed the cotton between tests, so I won’t repeat the hardware details again in the Red Devil section below.
Blue Devil: Right after opening the bottle, the aroma is a rich dark fruit scent, with notes of blueberry and grape, very much like opening a pack of Want Want QQ gummy candy.
On the inhale, the tip of the tongue gets a slightly astringent sensation, accompanied by a minty coolness. It goes down smoothly, and the throat hit from the cooling is moderate. On the exhale, it delivers a classic dark-fruit e-liquid profile, with blueberry and raspberry taking the lead. The mint is also very prominent—that astringency, that coolness, and that signature slight bitterness from mint all come through clearly. There’s even a bit of fruit peel in the flavor, though you really notice that more when exhaling through the nose.
With repeated puffs, the flavor stays rich, but the cooling sensation also becomes fairly strong on the throat, and a bitter, minty astringency lingers in the mouth.
This is the color of the Red Devil e-liquid—it really looks a bit like sour jujube juice.
Red Devil: When opened, it has something like a sweet pear drink aroma.
On the inhale, the tip of the tongue gets a sweet-and-sour sensation. It is still smooth through the throat, and the cooling is moderate—much gentler than Blue Devil. After exhaling, the flavor is quite light. To be honest, I really couldn’t identify exactly what flavor it was. I searched through all my taste memories growing up and couldn’t find anything quite like it, but the lingering taste in the mouth is definitely pear.
With continuous vaping, the flavor remains mild, and I still couldn’t quite pin it down—kind of embarrassing! The cooling is not as intense as Blue Devil, landing at moderately strong at most.
Overall, both e-liquids have their own distinct characteristics. Blue Devil has a clearly defined flavor and strong cooling. Red Devil has a mysterious flavor with moderate cooling. But even though it’s hard to identify, that mystery flavor is not unpleasant at all.
