Tobacco Industry Achieves Record-High Tax and Profit Totals in 2020

According to data from the National Tobacco Monopoly Administration, the tobacco industry achieved record-high tax and profit totals in 2020.
 
In 2020, the tobacco industry realized a total tax and profit amount of 1.2803 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%. The total fiscal revenue reached 1.2037 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.3%. This marks a historic high for both tax and profit totals, contributing positively to national and local fiscal revenue and economic development.
