Shenzhen agencies require e-cigarette firms to sign a no-sales-to-minors pledge

Shenzhen-related industry bodies called on vaping companies to sign a pledge not to sell e-cigarettes to minors, with the first signing ceremony scheduled for July 12.
On July 6, news emerged that the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce's E-cigarette Industry Committee (hereinafter referred to as the E-cigarette Committee) announced that it will hold a signing ceremony for the first batch of e-cigarette companies' "Commitment Not to Sell E-cigarettes to Minors" on July 12 (Monday) at 15:00 at the E-cigarette Committee office, hoping that relevant e-cigarette companies will actively participate.

The E-cigarette Committee stated that on June 18, the National Tobacco Monopoly Administration and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued a notice on the "Special Action Plan for Protecting Minors from Tobacco Harm: 'Guarding Growth'". To further protect minors from e-cigarettes and eliminate sales of e-cigarettes to minors, the Shenzhen Market Supervision Bureau and the Shenzhen Tobacco Monopoly Bureau have notified the E-cigarette Committee to organize member companies to implement the spirit of the special action plan, conduct self-inspection and self-correction, and sign the "Commitment Not to Sell E-cigarettes to Minors".

Time: July 12 (Monday) at 15:00

Location: E-cigarette Committee office

Address: Baoan Yifang Center, Block A, Room 1603
