Shenzhen Bao'an Fuhai Launches Cannabis Vape Inspections and Anti-Drug Outreach
Shenzhen Bao'an Fuhai has launched inspections targeting illicit cannabis vape products and strengthened anti-drug outreach to prevent drug-related risks tied to vaping devices.
According to news on June 11, in order to adapt to China’s move to place all synthetic cannabinoids under whole-category control, effectively strengthen the screening and control of “heady e-cigarettes,” and strictly prevent new drug-related risks and challenges arising in the e-cigarette industry, the Fuhai Subdistrict Anti-Drug Office in Bao’an District carried out preliminary inspection work in Zhancheng Community on the afternoon of June 1, 2021, taking the anniversary of the implementation of the Anti-Drug Law on “6.1” as an opportunity.
This activity mainly took the form of sending an advocacy letter to e-cigarette enterprises, informing them of the legal responsibilities and policy requirements brought by whole-category control of synthetic cannabinoids. It also included baseline inspections covering the company’s registered address, legal representative, main contact person and contact details, business type, company size, major brands and models, e-liquid sources, and daily management records. Enterprise managers were urged to strictly control raw materials such as e-liquid, strengthen random inspections of their own products, and ensure that their products do not contain narcotic ingredients. At the same time, anti-drug social workers provided legal education and anti-drug knowledge to company managers, further raising their awareness of drug prevention.
Next, the Fuhai Subdistrict Anti-Drug Office will continue to carry out training activities on anti-drug laws, regulations, and anti-drug knowledge for e-cigarette enterprises within its jurisdiction, in order to create a strong anti-drug atmosphere in the area.
