How to Blow Vape Rings: Beginner Tips and Practice Guide Video
A detailed breakdown of the key techniques and practice methods for blowing single vape rings, packed with practical tips for beginners. In late May and early June of 2017, I began my vaping journey. I started with a simple pen-style device, then moved on
A detailed analysis and practice guide for blowing vape rings (Beginner's guide! Pure practical tips!)
1. Introduction:
At the end of May and early June 2017, I started my journey with e-cigarettes. Initially, I used a stick, but later realized I needed something to heat the wire, so I switched to a box mod and various accessories. I didn't go through the pre-made products but jumped straight into DIY.
(However, I do not recommend this approach; take it slow and understand the basic knowledge of e-cigarettes before choosing to DIY, hehe.)
2. My experience with vape rings:
I started learning about vape rings by browsing vape forums. I spent a whole day studying and memorizing the common points mentioned in various articles and videos, and the next day I began my practice.
From the second day until the eighth day, my vape rings began to take shape and stabilize, but I was told by experts that I lacked force, which was frustrating because when I increased the force, the rings dispersed, and when I decreased it, they became too light.
However, I really enjoy the culture of e-cigarettes, and my personality is such that I like to research things alone, so I started watching videos again, carefully studying the coughing sounds and mouth shapes in the tutorials, and realized that mouth shape is indeed a very important factor in blowing good vape rings. So to this day, I still tell new friends in QQ groups that mouth shape is really crucial.
Adjust your mouth shape to a size that feels right for you, then cough. The cough should be a short burst of power, a kind of controlled force, not blind force.
With each cough, you should summarize and recall the feeling of each ring in your mind, rather than practicing blindly. The speed of growth from feeling the practice and practicing blindly is vastly different, which is also one of the key points.

3. Key analysis and practice methods for blowing single vape rings (pure practical tips summarized by me!):
1. Mouth shape (I believe this is the most important point): My mouth shape only covers my teeth, not wraps around them (as shown below).
I hope this point is understandable. It’s not wrapping but just covering the teeth. This mouth shape doesn’t require as much force as wrapping, just a bit of pressure to cover. I believe this can be done, and comparing the two methods will show a significant difference (provided you can blow rings). In practice, the size should be about that of a drink bottle opening or slightly larger; it’s best to practice in front of a mirror. Blowing vape rings should be done from the bottom up, and not always in one direction.
Demonstration of correct and incorrect methods for blowing single vape rings
When you find that your mouth is in the right shape, stop looking in the mirror and prepare to cough. This is my personal suggestion for mouth shape; if it feels right, use it; if not, you can explore your preferred mouth shape for blowing vape rings, as it can vary from person to person.
2. Coughing:

Coughing should be a short burst; initially, you don’t need to use too much force, just lightly cough to find the feeling of a gentle cough from your throat, then gradually increase the force.
When you discover what force combined with what mouth shape produces what kind of vape ring, you have already succeeded halfway; this is the feeling I found during my initial practice.
Secondly, the cough should be a quick, short burst of power; it must be brief; if it drags on, the tail of the vapor will be too much, so the cough should be a short, quick, powerful one. When you find that the size of the mouth shape combined with the force produces a ring that moves forward, your basic skills can be considered in place (keep your tongue flat and still).
(First, exhale a puff of vapor: this is because after inhaling, vapor remains in the throat, and exhaling some helps fill the throat and mouth with vapor for better ring blowing.
Secondly, practice standing; sitting or adopting strange postures can disrupt airflow. Sitting can cause internal heat to rise and disrupt airflow, so practice should be done standing.
Lastly, don’t overdo it; remember to take breaks.)
The two basic points, techniques, and key points I mentioned are all important; don’t just read without practicing. All achievements come from—practice.
