On August 22, news broke that the RELX and MOTI e-cigarette apps, which had just launched on the Apple App Store a few days ago, are currently no longer searchable, suspected to have been removed from the Apple App Store.
Searching for "relx me" yields no results.
Searching for "imoti" yields no results.
Both brands are currently testing smart e-cigarette products that require hardware and software to connect via Bluetooth. RELX has officially released its smart e-cigarette product, RELX Lingdian, while the MOTI smart e-cigarette, MOTI S, has not yet been officially released.
Bluehole found relevant review regulations regarding tobacco in the Apple App Store review guidelines.
1.4.3 Apps that encourage the consumption of tobacco products, the use of illegal drugs, or excessive alcohol consumption are not allowed to be distributed in the App Store. Apps that encourage minors to consume any of the above substances will be rejected. It is currently unclear whether the removal of the two apps is related to Apple's review regulations.
