Magic Potion E-Liquid Review: Red Devil and Blue Devil Tested
Magic Potion e-liquid review: Red Devil and Blue Devil come in matching black bottles, with the main visual difference in the side label color and each flavor's character.
Magic Potion E-Liquid: Red Devil and Blue Devil Group Test Review
Today I’m bringing you two group-test e-liquids—Magic Potion’s Red Devil and Blue Devil. They have the same appearance: a black plastic pen-style tube, a black cap, and black stickers, giving a first impression that feels a bit like Transformers.
The difference in appearance between the two lies in the color of the side sticker. Blue Devil’s color leans slightly purple, while Red Devil is burgundy.
The following is the manufacturer’s Chinese label, but it is stuck on the outside of the plastic shrink wrap.
This is the color of the Blue Devil e-liquid—very much the Blue Devil vibe.
The setup is still a Smok lighter-style box with a Yuli atomizer. This time the coil is Lightning 22awg wire, 4.5 wraps, 3.0 inner diameter, single-coil, with the resistance shown in the picture.
Special note: both liquids were tested with the same settings, only the cotton was changed in between, so I won’t repeat the setup again when discussing Red Devil below.
Blue Devil: On opening the bottle, it smells like a rich berry blend, with blueberry, grape, and more—similar to the scent when opening Wangzai QQ candy.
On inhale, the tongue first feels astringent, accompanied by minty coolness. The throat passage is smooth, and the cooling sensation is not too irritating. On exhale, it is the typical taste of a berry e-liquid, with blueberry and raspberry being dominant. The mint note is also quite noticeable. The astringency, coolness, and mint’s characteristic bitterness all come through clearly, along with a hint of fruit skin flavor, which is especially noticeable when exhaling through the nose.
With continuous vaping, the flavor remains strong, but the cooling effect also puts some strain on the throat, leaving a bitter, minty aftertaste in the mouth.
This is the color of the Red Devil e-liquid—it gives off a very jujube juice vibe.
Red Devil: On opening the bottle, it has a pear water-like aroma.
On inhale, the tongue first senses a sweet-and-sour taste. The throat passage is still smooth, and the cooling level is moderate, much gentler than Blue Devil. After exhale, the flavor is light. Honestly, I couldn’t really tell what flavor it was. I searched through all my memories from childhood to adulthood and still couldn’t find anything similar, but the aftertaste in my mouth is definitely pear.
With continuous vaping, the flavor remains light, and I still couldn’t identify it—embarrassing! The cooling effect is not as intense as Blue Devil, sitting at moderately strong with just a slight edge.
Overall, the two liquids each have their own characteristics. Blue Devil has a clear flavor and strong cooling. Red Devil has a mysterious flavor and moderate cooling. That mysterious flavor, though, is not unpleasant.
