According to a report from Pixabay, a judge in a U.S. district court in Florida recently dismissed a lawsuit filed by investors against Greenlane Holdings, a distributor affiliated with the well-known American vaping company JUUL.

This case was a class action initiated by investors. They alleged that before its public stock offering, the vaping distributor should have informed investors of a key fact: that the United States was planning to implement vaping-related restrictions.

However, in ruling on the class action, the district court judge stated that the distributor and wholesaler of Juul Labs vaping products had no obligation before its initial public offering to disclose a proposed vaping ban that was under consideration at the time. In fact, the vaping company had already stated in its investment disclosures that investors should be aware of the risks posed by government regulation of the tobacco industry.
