Second Council Meeting of China’s E-Cigarette Committee Held in Shenzhen

On October 19, 2021, the second council meeting of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce was grandly held in Shenzhen. Wang Ning, president of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, Huang Guoping, member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Election Committee, vice president of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, and honorary president of the first session of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee, Ou Junbiao, executive vice presidents Yao Jide and Huang Guihua, representatives of 22 vice presidents and vice president units of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee, and more than 200 representatives of member units attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Lin Hanzhong, deputy secretary-general of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, and Ao Weinuo, secretary-general of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee. The meeting opened with the solemn national anthem. At the meeting, Lin Hanzhong, deputy secretary-general of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, read the "Approval on the Related Content of the Second Council Meeting of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce". The representatives present carefully listened to and discussed the "Work Report of the First Council of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce" by Ou Junbiao, president of the first council, and the committee's new "Working Regulations". After a secret ballot by all representatives present, Yao Jide, chairman of Hengxin Yongji Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., was elected as the new chairman with a high vote, and Ao Weinuo was elected as the new secretary-general with a high vote.
In the presence of all council representatives, the new chairman Yao Jide received the flag from President Ou Junbiao, symbolizing the formal handover of the committee's leadership. Subsequently, the new chairman Yao Jide delivered an inaugural speech. He stated that he will always adhere to the basic line, principles, and policies of the Party, strictly abide by national laws and regulations, remain true to the original aspiration and keep the mission in mind, forge ahead, adhere to the core values of "national interests first, consumer interests first", take serving members as the work orientation, maintain the industry market order as the purpose, practice the concept of "communication, innovation, diligence, and pragmatism" in running the committee, take the committee's work as his own responsibility, live up to the expectations of all members, earnestly fulfill the responsibilities of the chairman, innovate work mechanisms, create a world-class and influential e-cigarette association organization, and promote the sustainable development of China's e-cigarette industry. Regarding the future work of the committee, Chairman Yao Jide pointed out that the second council will inherit the style of democratic management and diligent pragmatism, and will continue to innovate and improve quality and efficiency. In addition to continuing to create a favorable development space for leading enterprises, it will fully utilize the leading effect to rapidly drive the development of small and medium-sized enterprises; strengthen international cooperation, continue to adhere to the development strategy of dual circulation driven by international and domestic markets; focus on cultivating China's own quality labels, regularly hold standard promotion and testing certification activities, help enterprises solve technical bottlenecks, widely promote the "Anxing Quality" testing certification for e-cigarettes in the industry, and issue product certification certificates to achieve more standardized and sustainable development in the industry. The meeting also voted to elect Huang Guoping, chairman of Shenzhen Haige Group, as the new honorary chairman, and Ou Junbiao, chairman of Guangdong Sigrey Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., as the honorary chairman; elected Huang Guihua, chairman of Shenzhen Green Yunda Technology Co., Ltd., Chen Zhiping, chairman of Shenzhen Microveil Technology Co., Ltd., and Liu Tuanfang, chairman of Shenzhen Yijiate Technology Co., Ltd., as the new executive vice chairmen; and elected 22 vice chairmen and 125 executive council units. At the end of the meeting, Wang Ning, president of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, delivered a concluding speech. First, President Wang Ning congratulated the newly elected leadership team on behalf of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, thanked the previous honorary president Huang Guoping and president Ou Junbiao for their contributions to the development of the committee, and believed that under the leadership of Chairman Yao Jide, the committee will develop better. At the same time, President Wang Ning proposed several suggestions for the committee's future work: 1. All members of the committee should unite as one, enhance cohesion, avoid "involution", and concentrate efforts to strengthen the committee; 2. In a speech at the inauguration ceremony and thank-you dinner for the second leadership team of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee held that evening, Huang Guoping, member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Election Committee, vice president of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, honorary chairman of the Electronic Cigarette Industry Committee, and chairman of Shenzhen Haige Group, stated that through the joint efforts of the previous leadership team and all members, the committee has developed into the most influential industry association and has received recognition and praise from relevant government departments and all sectors of society.
