PMI to Launch Next-Generation IQOS VEEV Vaping Devices in Global Markets
Unlike regular IQOS heated tobacco devices, IQOS VEEV heats e-liquid instead of tobacco, using sealed pods with pharmaceutical-grade nicotine and food-grade flavorings.
Although they are all part of the IQOS series, the difference between IQOS VEEV and the regular IQOS is that it does not heat tobacco but rather heats e-liquid. The sealed pods contain electronic liquid, which includes pharmaceutical-grade nicotine and food-grade flavorings.

PMI's incoming CEO in Poland, Jacek Olczak, said: "Our ambition is for all adult smokers around the world to switch to better alternatives based on science."<\/span><\/div>

"Adult smokers who would otherwise continue smoking should be informed and have the opportunity to access better alternatives to cigarettes. While products like IQOS carry risks, they are far better than continuing to smoke. We must clarify the facts to eliminate any confusion for consumers and prevent them from returning to and using cigarettes."<\/span><\/div>

He added: "I firmly believe the answer lies in dialogue, addressing consumer misinformation and confusion, and engaging in open scientific discussions focused on better choices for adults who might otherwise continue smoking. I am passionate about this."<\/span><\/div>

Olczak pointed out that one of the company's key success markets is Japan, where the overall heated tobacco market continues to grow, largely driven by IQOS, which accounts for nearly 26% of its total tobacco market. Despite the pandemic, PMI's performance has exceeded expectations!
