E-cigarette public account news: On the morning of June 28, the second review draft of the revised Minor Protection Law was submitted to the 20th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress for deliberation.
The second review draft further strengthens the responsibilities of guardians, schools, lodging operators, internet service providers, and other parties in response to issues such as lack of guardianship, campus bullying, harm from tobacco and alcohol, and internet addiction, so as to better protect minors.
The revised draft adds a provision prohibiting the establishment of tobacco and alcohol sales outlets around schools, expands the places where smoking and drinking are prohibited from "classrooms, dormitories, and activity rooms of schools and kindergartens" to "schools and kindergartens," and makes clear that "tobacco" includes e-cigarettes.
