Lawmakers have submitted a bill to the Estonian parliament that would suspend excise tax on tobacco e-liquids for two years.
Lawmakers hope the measure will help curb cross-border trade and the black market.
In the explanatory memorandum, the bill’s authors noted that ending the excise tax would give entrepreneurs an opportunity to lower e-liquid prices and encourage the sale of legal products.
If passed, the law would take effect on December 1, 2020.
