FDA Suspends Vape Shop Inspections Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
Reuters reports the FDA has suspended compliance inspections at vape shops due to the rapid spread of coronavirus and has delayed domestic and overseas inspections until April.
According to Reuters, due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended compliance inspections of vape shops.
Due to the outbreak of the virus, the FDA has begun to scale back inspections both domestically and internationally, postponing them until April.
According to Reuters, the administrative work related to the cases may last for two weeks, and most FDA staff have switched to remote work.
According to Reuters estimates, the coronavirus has infected over 227,000 people in 175 countries. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in the United States, the virus has infected over 10,000 people and caused 150 deaths.
