US FDA Warns Unauthorized Vaping Products Must Be Removed From the Market
The US FDA warned retailers and manufacturers that vaping products without the required regulatory authorization must be removed from the market.
According to the U.S. FDA, the agency recently sent warning letters to domestic retailers and manufacturers, requiring strict inspections of the vaping products they produce and sell. Any products that have not been authorized by regulators must be removed from shelves and withdrawn from the market.

FDA officials said the measure is mainly aimed at closely inspecting and clearing out unauthorized vaping products that appeal to young people. It is reported that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has already sent warning letters to several well-known companies, including 7-Eleven and Shell.
In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is prioritizing enforcement against the following unauthorized vaping products: (1) flavored products, except those with tobacco or menthol flavors; (2) products for which manufacturers have failed to take appropriate steps to prevent minors from purchasing and trying them; and (3) products marketed to youth or likely to induce youth to purchase and use them.
Before March 10, 2020, the FDA had already sent letters to more than 100 retailers and manufacturers and was reviewing more than 140 unauthorized products, some of which had already been removed from shelves and withdrawn from the U.S. retail market.
