Nansha Customs Returns a Batch of Vaping Products Worth RMB 909,000

Nansha Customs in Guangzhou returned a batch of cross-border vaping products worth RMB 909,000 after finding goods declared as Japanese heating devices and sticks were clearly marketed as e-cigarettes online.
On December 30, the official Weibo account of the General Office of the General Administration of Customs posted news about e-cigarettes, along with two e-cigarette images

According to the Weibo post, Nansha Customs under Guangzhou Customs found that a batch of cross-border e-commerce warehouse goods declared as Japanese gippro atomizers, Japanese gippro energy sticks, and other products were clearly labeled with the words “e-cigarette” on the company’s sales website.

The General Office of the General Administration of Customs said that, in accordance with the Notice on Further Protecting Minors from E-cigarette Harm jointly issued by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration and the State Administration for Market Regulation (No. 1 of 2019), Nansha Customs immediately informed the relevant company to stop listing and selling the products and ordered it to return the batch of e-cigarettes out of the country. The goods were worth RMB 909,000.

The products were mainly divided into four categories: gippro vape-type e-cigarettes, gippro heated-not-burn products, gippro aroma sticks, and gippro atomizers.
